@Nancyjohere @BJCCrew @NWS Tons of NWS offices are short staffed right now. The NWS doesn’t do live coverage so they don’t have viewers. Again, apples to oranges. I can explain it to you, I can’t understand it for you.

Issuing warnings takes more than 20 seconds. Plus it’s a government agency that’s had its funding and staffing horribly and stupidly cut, which is the current reason for the ongoing issues. Again, I like and appreciate what they do and their audiences are growing rightfully so, but the overwhelming majority of people still get their warnings from traditional sources. You are in a small minority of the general public if you get your information from Max or RHY.
Comparing these streamers to a government agency that encompasses the entire country is apples to oranges. They’re more akin to local news stations meteorologists that do live coverage but legacy media like TV news is a dying platform.
English

Well that’s just an objectively wrong statement. The NWS’s job isn’t to provide live coverage to viewers. I’m not shitting on Max or RHY by any means, what they do is very helpful, but they are no replacement for the NWS. Relaying reports to or tagging the NWS in posts first will do infinitely more for people being impacted than not doing it and tagging streamers. In the grand scheme of things, Max and RHY have small live audiences, an overwhelming majority of which don’t live in the places that get impacted. They don’t send out EAS alerts to every phone, radio station and TV channel or get to set off sirens in these towns and cities that get impacted like the NWS and local OEMs can.

My husband and I both had covid in August of 2021. We both became VERY SICK. Our blood oxygen was in the low 80's. We had a prescription for Ivermectin but the pharmacy played games for over a week and would not fill the order. Finally my daughter went to the pharmacy and told the pharmacist if something happened to us she would spent her life seeing he was punished.
He finally gave her the prescription. Two days after taking the ivermectin, we walked outside for the first time in 30 days.
At one point I was very seriously considering going to the hospital but my husband wisely discouraged me from that, he was right. I firmly believe had we walked into the hospital we would not have walked out.
Thank you to @stella_immanuel for having the courage to buck the system and save our lives.

Update from Trevor: Following up on my last post, he survived that terrifying EF3 tornado with just minor cuts, and thankfully his daughter was safe with her mom during the storm. He is so incredibly grateful to everyone who has already donated! ❤️🙏🏼
What shows he has such a massive heart is that he only wants to use the GoFundMe money he strictly needs to get back on his feet. He plans to give everything else directly to his local church and neighbors who were also hit by the storm.
This young man deserves all the support we can give him. Please hit repost to spread the word! 🙏❤️

⚠️ MUST WATCH: An Iranian-American who escaped Sharia law just delivered a chilling testimony at a Wylie, Texas school board meeting that everyone in the West needs to see.
He breaks down the 3 stages of subversion happening right now:
👉Stage 1: "They come in peace... they tell you 'we just want rights.'"
👉Stage 2: Two-tier policing, Sharia courts, and pushing blasphemy laws (like what we see in the UK and Canada).
👉Stage 3: The final stage, the absolute hell of apostasy laws, executions, and hanging (like what happened to Iran).
"I escaped that hell hole years ago, and I am seeing the exact same thing happening right now in the United States."

I was raised Christian - no Christian should ever feel alone. We are supposed to be there for one another. But in my years of illness and loss I learned how alone we are - but for God. He became closer and more real to me than the couch on which I sit.
I got a small taste of what Paul was talking about in 2 Timothy:
9 Make every effort to come to me quickly,
10 because Demas, in his love of this world, has deserted me and gone to Thessalonica. Crescens has gone to Galatia, and Titus to Dalmatia.
11 Only Luke is with me
16 At my first defense, no one stood with me, but everyone deserted me. May it not be charged against them.
17 But the Lord stood by me and strengthened me, so that through me the message would be fully proclaimed, and all the Gentiles would hear it.
Christianity is no magic wand. We are still very imperfect people. But we can experience perfect love and peace - IN HIM.
Pray for your family (I'm sure you do). Pray with FAITH. Every human is an impossible cause... but with God, ALL things are possible, and He is not willing that any should perish.

This guy fights an ALPR ticket with the kind of words that only come from experience
Take a look at him. He’s an Everyman. He’s not a great orator, he’s dressed like he just got off work, but he went and did it. He spoke his piece. He exercised his first amendment right to a redress of grievances.
So should we ALL

When I was Muslim, I never asked who built the golden calf. I just knew it was a sin in the desert.
Then I read both accounts and one detail stopped me cold.
In the Bible, the man who builds the golden calf is AARON. Moses’ own brother. The first high priest. Exodus 32:4.
He gathers the gold, melts it, shapes the idol. And when Moses confronts him, he gives the weakest excuse in scripture: “I threw the gold in the fire and out came this calf.” As if it made itself.
Bro. The Bible just put the worst sin in the camp in the hands of the holiest man in the camp.
You would NEVER write that if you were protecting your prophets.
Now read the Quran. Surah 20. Aaron is cleared. Innocent. He tried to stop it. The blame goes to a mystery man called “al-Samiri.” The Samaritan. Surah 20:85.
You know what shook me? The Bible incriminates its own high priest.
The Quran writes him an alibi and invents a villain.
One reads like an honest record. The other like damage control.
And there’s a second problem with that villain. “The Samaritan.” But Samaritans didn’t exist in Moses’ time.
The city of Samaria wasn’t founded until about 500 years later, under King Omri. 1 Kings 16:24.
It’s like putting a Texan at the Last Supper.
Now, some Muslim scholars push back — they say “Samiri” means something else. I’ll be fair, that argument exists. But their own classical commentators read it as “the Samaritan” for centuries.
The defense only works by re-translating away from how the tradition always understood it.
I used to say the Bible was corrupted. But the Bible is honest enough to say the high priest built the idol.
Only a book honest about how bad we are could point me to a Savior real enough to fix it.
The Bible never flattered Aaron. It didn’t flatter me either. It just told me the truth, and handed me Jesus.

@amarkowitzWX I can’t count the number of times Max and Ryan have told us that there was a tornado on the ground before the national weather service even issued a warning.
English

The hard truth our industry needs to come to terms with is people are relying more on Max, Ryan, and other digital Mets/influencers BECAUSE in many cases traditional media do not provide adequate or widespread enough coverage. Also harder to watch. Lessons to be learned from them
