Very few people have a Lugia under 1500 CP as you need to exploit certain game mechanics with trainer levels and trades to get one under the CP limit. It wouldn't even be that desirable anyways, it's pacing is straight ass.

@grlica_ @Mythical_Momon @temp6t What this means is that if Lickitung had these busted stats then it would only be like level 30 at 1500 CP and it wouldn't have the immense bulk that it's known for. And in a game with no accuracy checks or speed stat, bulk reigns supreme.

@grlica_ @Mythical_Momon @temp6t Essentially competitive play allows any Pokemon under 1500 CP (combat power) but that's not necessarily equal to a mon's level. So instead of every Pokemon being level 50, weaker Pokemon can be a higher level before the limit. At 1500 CP Mewtwo is lvl 13 but Lickitung is lvl 50.

The reason why #PlayPokemon will never be respected for any of their competitions is favoritism and inconsistencies in the rules. By the book, Firestar73 broke the rules in the Pokemon GO Finals.
Wolfe Glick is allowed to cheat and have unsporting celebrations, others aren't.

Personally, I think a game loss is a bit excessive. A warning could've sufficed and even if he did damage them, I think they should've just charged him for a new pair instead of issuing a game loss.

@Fen0505 @HazamaMain Firestar73 (the player in question) still has yet to confirm, but from what we know it's believed that the way he threw off the headphones may have damaged them, resulting in a game loss. He wasn't DQ'd, it's just that this game was tied 2-2 in a best of 5.

@JWonggg Allegedly, it was because of the way he threw the headphones off. It doesn't look damaged at all, but even if they were, they could've given him a warning or charged him for a new pair. Giving him a game loss for that is excessive.

The DQ yesterday has nothing to do with a handshake, it's about taking off the headphones.

Although I'm not sure he'd be too OP with Fearow, Florges, and Togekiss being legal. Combined with zero checks for Hypno which is bound to be on every team, I think Poliwrath would end up being a detriment.
