I want to thank Senator John Cornyn for his years representing our state.  We don’t agree on everything, but we both still believe in public service. To Senator Cornyn’s supporters: you have a place in our campaign.

Saikat Chakrabarti for Congress
Jake Auchincloss is essentially endorsing Susan Collins in Maine. Absolutely no excuse for a Democrat in the House to back a Republican for Senate in a crucial swing seat. Auchincloss should be primaried. His primary election is September 1 in a safe, D+11 seat.

In an interview with CNN on Monday, Rep. Jake Auchincloss (D-MA) says he finds Graham Platner's tattoo disqualifying and hopes Maine voters agree with him Auchincloss: “I find that tattoo and his commentary about it to be personally disqualifying. I hope Maine voters agree with me.” #MaineSenate

Massachusetts is now the first state to certify a rideshare driver union after granting Lyft and Uber drivers' collective bargaining rights. This is the largest new private-sector union in over 85 years. 70,000 workers are now represented by the App Drivers Union.

Assuming Chris Rabb wins the general election, there will now be at least four democratic socialists in Congress: Rabb, AOC, Rashida Tlaib, Bernie. And that does not include others whose primaries have yet to happen like Cori Bush, Darializa Avila Chevalier, Claire Valdez, more.

There is a new Democratic Socialist in Congress. DSA congratulates our member Chris Rabb on his election for Pennsylvania’s 3rd Congressional District. This victory would not have been possible without the work of thousands of working class people across Philadelphia organizing for a better world. We will be with Congressman Rabb every step of the way in the fight to abolish ICE, free Palestine and win Medicare for All.

@mainey_maine Which is why the state GOP wants to make more races "nonpartisan". They passed a bill to do exactly that this year and it only effects the metro atlanta counties.

Georgia just has so many uneducated and misinformed voters, and GOP knows this so it’s easy for them to have the advantage especially in the State Supreme Court

@baseballot Yes, because these races were nonpartisan and the state dem party waited until the last minute to inform voters, the majority dem electorate defaulted to a truism of southern politics: The candidate with the ethnic sounding name on your ballot is likely the democrat.

@byst YES! And state republicans are trying to make more races "nonpartisan" to suppress voter preference.

@ZaidJilani To be fair to the average voter, that is simply not feasible or reasonable as there are tons of elections on the ballot. The solution is not to blame to voters, it's to blame the system intentionally created by republicans to suppress voter preference.

@shibadad8 They're voting based on Party alignment. The supreme court races were nonpartisan which confused alot of voters as to who was the dem aligned candidate. Also, the state party got involved waaaaay to late to educate voters. This is why state GOP passed this law:

Georgia tonight is proof voters really are just voting on name recognition nothing else, no research before voting, no sample ballot.
