@MaxxChewning Brother you are too rich to live in a dangerous area where that is a reasonable concern

@btcwilliamson @levelsio I assume in Portugal and Netherlands one cannot pay for private tests, because they have publicly funded systems. That’s usually the case in publicly funded system I think
English

I was never able to do blood tests when I asked for it in Netherlands
Doctor asked "why? you're not sick?"
Then I tried in Portugal (at Germano de Sousa) but they never picked up the phone or when they did were so slow and unhelpful I gave up, they also require a doctor prescription btw
The first place I could get my blood tested was Thailand in 2018, I just walked into Bumrungrad and asked for it, amazing experience
Last few years we just fly to Brazil and do it here, the nurse comes to your home/hotel at 8am and takes your blood, same or next day results online
I find it funny I keep having to fly out of Western Europe to do blood tests, they make it impossibly hard to do them
Which is retarded
Nuno Guerra@nunowar
@levelsio Who is your doctor in Portugal who can prescribe all the tests you want to do?
English

It’s a waste of money to get many regular blood tests especially tests like Testosterone without cause, so in countries with publicly funded healthcare doctors have to justify the tax payer’s expense. I’m lucky I drive 20 minutes across a border to get my blood tests done and just pay out of pocket, don’t need to talk to a doctor at all, I just order the tests online.

@avidseries Aborting every male baby would decrease crime rates even further. Or every non-asian baby. I'm sure the nominee mentioned that too

@__tinygrad__ Canada has cheap electricity especially Quebec and BC, spurred a bunch of Bitcoin and crypto mining operations but I think regulations shut them down, so I wonder if they are on sale for a discount now…

I’m gonna share my wildest dating app trick with y’all.
Back when I was on the apps, I realized it was a lot like running ads. You need to stop the scroll first.
I had a casual photo of me holding a coffee cup. I used AI to make the coffee cup really small.
Women would stop and try to comprehend. Is my hand huge? Is the coffee small?
By then they already lingered for much longer than usual. Read my ad copy, scrolled my photos looking for clues . It’s unreal how successful this was.
If you train yourself to think like this, you can master paid ads.

This is unexpected. Cursor $200/mo costs them $5000 🤯
How sustainable can them really be, and for how long.
dhruv@dhruvmakes
Cursor’s internal analysis just leaked. Their $200/month Claude Code plan… actually costs them ~$5,000 in compute. Last year it was ~$2,000. Is this shit really sustainable or we are gonna forgot how to code and then AI also gets mad expensive

Full-grown adults discussing elite college admissions is genuinely one of the most boring possible forms of discourse.

I used to go to TikTok and get funny videos. I can’t do it anymore. It’s too depressing. It’s just overrun by AI, no way to filter it out, no one ever telling you it’s AI. Go to the comments, just masses of stupid people not suspecting a thing. This is by far the worst social media company. American leaders were right to be suspicious of it, and the administration’s corruption and lawlessness is why it’s still around and being like this.

@Noahpinion Anti-immigrant until they take one glance at age demographics and future welfare entitlements for seniors
English

Narrative violation here. A lot of people expected the Takaichi administration to be a lot more anti-immigrant than they ended up being.
Jeffrey J. Hall 🇯🇵🇺🇸@mrjeffu
Japanese Prime Minister Takaichi said there will be no limit on Type 2 "Specified Skilled Worker" visas. This visa status includes jobs such as: •vegetable farmers •restaurant workers •food factory workers •building cleaners •shipyard workers •auto mechanics

@yacineMTB next month he's announcing Health Canada is fast tracking generic Ozempic as the patent just expired here. Soon Canadians will pay $20/month to not be fat. Fertility will shoot up like never before. Canada is saved.

@ayaboch Took three emails to support and over a week to get a reply from them, and then I had to cancel all subs, and change the region for my apple account before I could enroll.
Edge case since due to location shift, but still. Feels wrong for it to take any more than 5 mins.
