Starting my indie hacker journey. First project: Tether, a breathwork app. Breathwork helped me through some dark times. But I couldn't find an app I looked forward to opening — just ones I fought with every time I needed them. Building the one I'd actually use.

Honestly just pick a topic and ask it to go research in depth. Or better still, spend a few minutes asking it to put just as much effort into building the research methodology. Asking it to use agent teams/parallelize scouting for research is also a sure shot way to increase token usage.

Anthropic just pulled the oldest trick in SaaS pricing. I pay $200/mo for Claude Max. My limits have been noticeably worse this past week. Now they announce 2x off-peak usage for two weeks. Sounds generous. But here’s what actually happens: limits quietly drop, a temporary 2x makes the reduced limit feel normal, the promo ends, and you’re left at a baseline lower than where you started. You just didn’t notice the downgrade because the 2x absorbed the transition. These AI plans are massively subsidized. The raw compute behind a heavy user costs multiples of the subscription price. Every move like this is the subsidy quietly correcting. Very sneaky, Anthropic.
Claude@claudeai

A small thank you to everyone using Claude: We’re doubling usage outside our peak hours for the next two weeks.

“When you go from consumer to B2B, the number one mega-challenge that you must master is LTV:CAC.” - @travisk "Yes, you can make that argument on consumer, but when you have a sales funnel that starts with 'I'm going to talk to customers, and I have to make LTV:CAC work' — versus 'My LTV:CAC is the App Store' — it's a whole different ballgame." “LTV:CAC with a sales machine, especially if you go [after] small businesses, is life on hard mode. Anybody who’s crushed it on SMB, those guys are special individuals who've made that happen. Because life in the SMB B2B world is no joke."

@yongfook You don’t want enterprise scale production stuff running on things that aren’t battle tested yet. Massive companies aren’t the best place to look for what’s the absolute latest.

@SkunkDev A lot of the ones earning big money are probably big games released earlier though. Good odds still, but doubt that they’d be 1/3rd.

MCP sucks honestly It eats too much context window and you have to toggle it on and off and the auth sucks I got sick of Claude in Chrome via MCP and vibe coded a CLI wrapper for Playwright tonight in 30 minutes only for my team to tell me Vercel already did it lmao But it worked 100x better and was like 100LOC as a CLI

Thank god MCP is dead Just as useless of an idea as LLMs.txt was It's all dumb abstractions that AI doesn't need because AI's are as smart as humans so they can just use what was already there which is APIs

This is insane… Perplexity just put an AI agent inside a Mac mini. You plug it in. It sits on your desk. It never turns off. This is not a chatbot. This is a virtual employee that lives in your house and works 24/7. It goes through your files. Your apps. Your emails. Your documents. Everything. Not just when you ask. All the time. While you sleep it’s working. While you eat dinner it’s working. While you’re relaxing it’s managing your entire digital life. And people have NO idea how far along this already is. This thing will run your schedule. Answer your emails. Make purchases. Talk to other AI agents on your behalf. Handle your bills. Book your travel. It will even do your JOB for you… This isn’t a future prediction. It’s happening right now. We went from “ChatGPT is cool” to a fully autonomous employee living on your desk in just 3 years. And this is the version that’s dropping now. Imagine what’s coming next…

building in public day 73! 640/1000 challenge active paying users before 15 Apr post with aesty.ai blew up here recently, now doing the less glamorous part: reading all the feedback, watching analytics, and actually fixing things for new users. polishing the first session experience based on what people said. also new paywall is ready - still waiting on Apple review (day 4!! 👀) dropping 3-4 new AI creator videos today. and 3 investors reached out after the post. already talked to one. build in public works, now back to building. Let's go!

day 72, building in public! 621/1000 challenge - active paying subs by april 15 yesterday posted a random tweet and it blew up to 200k+ views and brought in a wave of new subs to aesty.ai gonna be posting more of this! also got a ton of first-session feedback from real users - exactly what we're optimizing right now. people are interested and want to pay, but subscription renewals are where we're losing them. we have the data, we know what to fix, and a release is already on the way. iterating on retention. fix the bucket before pouring more water. let's go 💪

Perplexity is so backkkk! They just shipped a computer agent that runs on a Mac mini, controls your apps and browser no complicated setup, no developer gymnastics. I've seen 50+ pitch decks from startups "building this." Perplexity just shipped it.

@samhogan How is this different from code being stored in files and agents directly modifying those?
English

Sam Hogan 🇺🇸
Sam Hogan 🇺🇸@samhogan·
What if a codebase was actually stored in Postgres and agents directly modified files by reading/writing to the DB? Code velocity has increased 3-5x. This will undoubtedly continue. PR review has already become a bottleneck for high output teams. Codebase checked-out on filesystem seems like a terrible primitive when you have 10-100-1000 agents writing code. Code is now high velocity data and should be modeled at such. Bare minimum, we need write-level atomicity and better coordination across agents, better synchronization primitives for subscribing to codebase state changes and real-time time file-level code lint/fmt/review. The current ~20 year old paradigm of git checkout/branch/push/pr/review/rebase ended Jan 2026. We need an entirely new foundational system for writing code if we’re really going to keep pace with scale laws.
