I still have a lot of liberal friends, but mostly old friends who I no longer live near. In my social circles today, basically everybody agrees with me on most everything. Everybody at my church is aligned. Most of my neighbors are aligned (Trump won my town handily). Again, liberals imagine people like me to be moral minorities desperate for their approval, because they have no theory of mind for other people who live in other contexts and what they’re doing when they say these things is picturing themselves voting for Trump and dealing with the fallout. These people are staggeringly, comically bad at modeling other minds. You really cannot say this enough.

@juliamacfarlane First of all, "FIFA" is a French abbreviation, not English, and second, "soccer" is a British word that the Brits petulantly stopped using only because Americans, already having a form of football and needing a word, adopted it for the sport.

If any Americans are confused about whether it’s called soccer or football and don’t accept that the country that invented it calls it football - ask them what the Fs in FIFA stand for ⚽️

I don't think Graham Platner actually "is a Nazi" - i.e., someone who supports the goals of the German NSDAP political party. I think he is a former alcoholic mercenary, who got one of the most famous Nazi symbols as a tattoo to show he is a "killer," and is currently struggling with giant infidelity and woman-abuse scandals. Watching lib-fem type friends passionately support him is thus, still, very funny.
