According to Howard Lutnick, the economic strategy of Canada, one of our greatest allies, “sucks.” These childish insults do nothing except hurt small businesses in New Hampshire—many of whom rely on Canadian exports and tourism.

@Acyn Wow, that's some serious brain drain at the Pentagon. 34 officers gone under Hegseth already —hope the replacements bring more competence than loyalty.

HEINRICH: It was not immediately clear if Phelan resigned or was fired but Fox News has learned in the last few moments he was fired. This marks the 34th military officer that Secretary Hegseth has fired since taking over the agency.

@JamesWitmer6 @BBCWorld Really? 80%+ of all potash used by American farmers comes from Canada, with no meaningful substitute. - and 1/3 of other globally traded fertilizers are blocked by the disruption of the Strait of Hormuz. 60% of US oil imports are from Canada, that's 1/4 of total US intake.

📊MARKETS BET ON HIGH IMPEACHMENT RISK FOR TRUMP Market shows a 68% chance that Donald Trump will be impeached before January 2028, with odds rising steadily from around 30% in November. The shift suggests growing expectations of political trouble ahead, though outcomes remain uncertain. kalshi.com/markets/kximpe…

And if some retard shit like this ever passes the Senate (Which it won’t) Trump will veto it. Sucks you’ve had leaders who depended on US. Time to move forward or keep bending the knee. Knowing how weak you canadians are in politics , You’ll bend the knee as per usual. Carney isn’t going to fix your Country … Pierre won’t fix it either but he’s definitely a better option. You’ll be taxed to death real soon anyways

Actually... six House Republicans crossed the floor on the February 11, 2026 vote to repeal the emergency powers underlying Trump's 25% Canada tariff: Thomas Massie (KY-4) Don Bacon (NE-2) — retiring this term Kevin Kiley (CA-3) Jeff Hurd (CO-3) Brian Fitzpatrick (PA-1) Dan Newhouse (WA-4) — retiring this term The resolution passed 219-211. A few notes on their stated rationales: Hurd cited pressure from farmers and steel manufacturers in his district; Newhouse pointed to Washington state's close trade relationship with Canada (agricultural inputs, fertilizer, equipment); Bacon called tariffs a net negative for the economy and argued Congress — not the White House — should hold tariff authority. 60% of US oil imports are from Canada. 80%+ of all potash used by American farmers comes from Canada, with essentially no meaningful substitute in the short term.

Incredible news! A thing that goes up has gone up! The S&P 500 has been hitting “all-time highs” roughly every few weeks since 1957. That’s not a Trump thing. That’s not a genius thing. That’s just what happens when a number trends upward over seventy years. Your grandmother’s house price hits an all-time high too. So does the cost of eggs. Nobody’s putting that on a campaign poster. A market index literally cannot do anything else in the long run. That’s the whole point of it. But sure. Pop the champagne. The number went up. It was also up under Obama for 96 straight months. We can compare notes.
Eric Daugherty@EricLDaugh

🚨 NOW: The S&P 500 just SURGED to yet ANOTHER all-time high at over 7,130 points That's despite CONSTANT panicking from the fake news and the left. "Experts" continue suffering losses 🔥

Excellent observation! Ironically Poilievre’s politics read less like ambition than organized grievance: Canada is broken, gatekeepers everywhere, success belongs to someone else. Rand would call it the malevolent-universe premise in campaign form—defined by resentment, thin on creation, parasitic on its enemies. Rand wouldn’t have mistaken MAGA for capitalism. She’d have recognized it as collectivism in a different costume: tribal, authoritarian, anti-reason, loyal to leader over merit, and perfectly willing to pair “freedom” rhetoric with tariffs, labor restriction, and attacks on independent institutions.

LOL. Poilievre sounds like he’s been cramming Hayek or Ayn Rand before every speech. I’ll admit I bought it at first because it's refreshing to hear that language in a heavily socialized country. But then you look at the actual stuff he defends like protecting dairy cartels, managing labour supply, doubling down on socialized healthcare, taking swings at the Bank of Canada (maybe some of it was justified), tit-for-tat tariffs, and you realize it’s anything but free market doctrine. Still amusing to watch his influencer ecosystem get all excited and giddy about it like they're 16 and just picked up their first copy of Rand, von Mises, etc.
