@sharrond62 I agree. I think Maggie is very good. However, I don’t think a 7 month stadium ban is proportionate for having an opinion.

@Sarge2235 @MaggieAlphonsi @JulesPR_ I’m not sure that’s the flex you think it is. I’d wager good money that Old Leamingtonians 3rds would put 40 points on any team Maggie has played for.

@MaggieAlphonsi @JulesPR_ Well he's clearly an expert on the elite game Maggie 🙄 His playing days were primarily spent at Old Leamingtonians Rugby Club, where he played for over 20 years, mostly for the 3rd and 4th teams. He knows feck all about elite level rugby, full stop, mens or women's.

Important read 👀 Sadly, the incident I experienced with the RFU Council Member, Mr Matt Smith shows that sexism and misogyny still exist in our game. I hope me speaking about it will lead to change. We must stamp it out and call it out when we witness it. And just to be clear, Mr Matt Smith, I have attached a couple of images to highlight exactly what I know about rugby! #WomenInRugby #EqualityInSport #Rugby #Respect #Accountability

@teslapilot1 @HazelAppleyard I’m confused. Why does abigail get 22 chances to guess it? Surely Abigail only gets one guess (her birthday). Then Bob gets one chance (his birthday) to guess either mine or Abigail’s number? Charlie gets one chance to guess mine, Abigail’s or Bob’s number…

I’m thinking of a random number 1-365. Abigail, you get 22 chances to guess it? You didn’t guess it? Ok Bobs turn. Now Im thinking of a different number 1-364, Bob gets 21 chances to guess it. Nothing? Ok Charlie’s turn. Now Im thinking of a different number 1-363, Charlie gets 20 chances to guess it. …

@DPJHodges @BurnsideWasTosh @hundredmillie This is lose-lose for Restore. If they get a good result they’ll be the party that handed Burnam the keys to no.10. If they get less than that due to people voting tactically for Reform, then Restore lose credibility and momentum I think it’s a mistake to field a candidate

@hundredmillie Yeah, wrong about that one. I was surprised at how significant the Restore presence was.

To summarise what I found in Makerfield: * It's Reform territory. In any other context this would be an easy Reform win * The Burnham effect is real. Local people view him as one of their own. * Restore have more of a presence that I anticipated. They may well be a factor

@Andre1339781 @OMG_ITS_NDABA He is clearly part of the ruck at this point. He is engaged in the attempted clear out of blue 11 and appears from this angle to be bound with both arms. He then slips that contact and tackles the 9 within 1m of the ruck. It’s an absolute stonewall penalty.

@OMG_ITS_NDABA The argument was that he was a part of the ruck, but he very obviously wasn't. He's not engaging the sealers and more importantly, he's not bound at the shoulders. Besides, the ball is out when he goes for it

@cursedbyaclown1 @Dubhgallsail @scrumming_ten It’s an academic selection system in NI. There are very few exclusively private schools. I went to a mixed religion grammar school that played rugby. Kids were bussed in from all sorts of council estates. But sure don’t let facts stop you spouting absolute shite.

I know Slot may well stay, but I just don't see how he can now, given the level of unrest. It's too far gone. Those recent comments are those of a man out of his depth at the very highest level.

@TheLooseH No problem with the two big decisions: Hendo red card and Doak penalty try but beyond those the ref had an absolute shocker.

Arne Slot has responded to Mohamed Salah's comments about standards at Liverpool: “The standards are not only important in the gym. It’s also on the pitch. Okay. You understand me? Without me saying anything?” “I wish I was able to say what I feel at this moment but I can’t, So, how will I answer that question then?” “As I said, I completely agree with him [Salah] how important these standards are. I think they (standards) are in a good place at the moment.” “I think it also makes sense that younger players – it doesn’t have to be the new players, it can be the seven-year-old that comes from the Academy – they usually gets the example of players like Mo and others for them to understand and to know what it takes to play every three days at this level.” “I see – and I think – that our younger players have improved in this already. I am completely convinced that we have enough players next season – and, add to that, the ones that we will sign – to put the standards exactly into the place they are needed.”

@NashVash46294 @Newman123Sam @FearedBuck Get it. You don’t think American football is a real sport because physical athleticism, but if a real sport is defined by pure skill, then the ultimate sports are probably ice curling. But if an athlete like Jerry Rice had 2-3 years to practice, he’d have kicked ass in soccer.

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted a 21 year old Nigerian who has never played football but stands 6’5”, 306 lbs with 6% body fat, a 39” vertical, a 10’10” broad jump that is 14 inches longer than any other defensive tackle at the HBCU combine, and a 4.63 40 yard dash

@ExtinguishedEng @StealthRalf @Aella_Girl I imagined a 70/30 and it landed on yellow. But then I imagined a 90/10 circle and it landed on red 😩 spun the 90/10 one 3 times - red each time - then I gave up as it was too hard to get yellow.

@StealthRalf @Aella_Girl I wouldn't expect that. It implies that 20% of people don't understand probability, and it coincidentally maps to the 80/20 split in the outcomes. If the odds were 70/30, would 30% of people predict the less likely outcome? (I feel like an AI.)

Imagine a circle, with a little spinner on it that you can flick. The circle is 80% red and 20% yellow, like a yellow pie slice. You flick the spinner. It spins, and slowwwly stops. Where did it land?

@nickcorker55 @Charlesrylands7 He’s there before Carreras. No ruck has been formed when he starts to jackle. I think he’s been pinged for no clear release as the tackle assist.

@ATLiverpool_ False equivalency and you know it. Rafa inherited slop that had finished 30 points off the top the previous season. Slot inherited a squad good enough to win the league, spent £450m and made us worse

I completely get why Geoff Parling was annoyed here. TNT had no clearance for this and he’s protecting his players but I don’t think he should have shoved Craig Doyle like that. Whether you think Doyle is annoying or not, I don’t think that’s right.
