@EddieP64515 @RaidersSociety No because Amazon doesn't own the rights to any past Tomb Raider games. Embracer Group/Crystal Dynamics would have to pay out of their own pocket to have Aspyr or another 3rd party studio take that on. Thats unnecessary now that they have a 2 game publishing deal with Amazon

So, Final Fantasy 2. This game gets a ton of hate from the FF fanbase and is regarded the worst mainline Final Fantasy by many. The reason is because most people don't know how to play it, at all, and that's reasonable because the core mechanic of the game is not well explained whatsoever. It's one of those games that isn't great when you don't know what you're doing, but an absolute blast when you do. For those who didn't give it a fair chance, I suggest you try it again, except do a little research first on how to play and I bet you will like it.

@BoundaryBreak SNES was my first console, but I didnt play rpgs until I got my PS1 so my first time playing Chrono Trigger was the ds remake in the mid 2000s. My take is that its not a bad game, but it is insanely mediocre. Definitely felt like a "you had to be there for the OG release" moment

Level 5 CEO Akihiro Hino announced the Vision 2026 Presentation will air on April 10th at 7am ET. This year, they aren't announcing the games beforehand to enhance the surprise. I hope they reveal the release date for Professor Layton and The New World of Steam!

This absolutely is something JRPG fans need to grow up and accept. Especially given recent tweets about FF5, narrative being the be all and end all of the genre is stupid. Games should be viewed in their totality, all their moving parts. Gameplay AND Story (if it has one)

@robertoblake Yup, 100% agree. I was stoked when Bowser Jr whipped out the paint brush from Sunshine as his weapon, then we got a whole scene where they fight every boss from Mario Bros 2, hell they even had the penguins from Mario 64 in there. The whole movie was a nostalgia blast

The negative reviews of Super Mario Galaxy are absolute slander. There is absolutely NOTHING wrong with this movie. The Musical Score is excellent. The voice performances are incredibly done. The story progression will keep adults and children from being bored. Any adult and child who has played Nintendo Games in the last 40 years will have Easter Eggs from their childhood they can enjoy. For viewers not deep into Nintendo lore, the themes and story are easy to follow. You have to work to find fault with it.

@AntifaCostanza Funnily enough i enjoyed 2 the most of the nes trillogy when i played the pixel remasters, 1 was good but kinda bland and 3 had great gameplay that gets ruined by every endgame boss just being flare/comet spam and get fucked if you heal before the attack casts

lol. Yall are passionate, but it is what it is. 5 has one-dimensional characters (and a terrible villain), a way too grindy system (Tactics clears), and is generally a huge step backwards from 4. But even a person’s least favorite final fantasy is still better than other JRPGs.

finished chrono trigger for the first time I'm surprisingly underwhelmed when this is a game that's been held in high esteem for decades. I respect its scope, structure, and presentation but the writing refuses to flesh itself out and the gameplay is thoroughly unremarkable

@kirkneverdied Thats been my stance. As a dude who grew up in the 90s I loved the movie. I appreciated the pacing- just one high intensity scene to the next. I dont see how the movie wouldve benefitted from slowing things down to lore dump/world build at any point

It's mental that people are heavily critiquing The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. It's a kids film, I took my 5yo son to see it today and he LOVED it. It's like they wanted shocking drama, gut wrenching monologues, life lessons, deep metaphors. It's a slightly chubby Italian plumber and his brother in their overalls, on an adventure with a screaming mushroom. That's literally all that matters. It was never intended to be Shawshank Redemption or Ben Hur, was it? I thought it was great, loads of fan service, and introduced a new generation to the amazing Fox McCloud/Star Fox 💙

Just because its "made for kids" doesn't mean the story has permission to be awful. Galaxy has some of the worst pacing, worst dialogue, most disconnected scenes I've seen in a long while. Hold filmmakers to higher standards, fam.

@PandaKingEX My biggest gripe with Tales is how they have to fuck with the combat with almost every entry. I understand systems need to evolve but I feel like Symphonia, Abyss, and Vesperia were peak Tales combat and every entry after kinda missed the mark in that regard

Mario 1, 2, 3, Super Mario World, Mario64, and Mario Sunshine all got acknowledged in the movie and it was sick
