@BoundaryBreak I honestly can’t disagree more. I think as a sequel Chrono Cross does wonders as deconstruction of the themes of Trigger, tbh Cross should’ve gone further in the systematic undoing of Trigger’s ending in service of its message re:fatalism and what it means to fight destiny itself

Circled on the left was every game i genuinely cared about from the Final Fantasy 9 Remake leak. And circled on the right is all the games that didnt get revealed from the leak.

Radical Dreamers is pretty decent for what it is. But I see Cross as a spectacular failure of a sequel and I also dont to subscribe to the runner up prize of "its a good game on its own though". + AMAZING MUSIC + Very impressive graphics on a technical level for its time - Story convoluted and strange - gameplay needlessly annoying - character designs are mostly off putting
