We didn’t enslave you, do a century long apartheid on you, or elect folks that filled your neighborhoods with drugs while curtailing your access to public resources that help with upward mobility, nor do we make it our busy to deny the lasting impacts of all of that. We certainly never crated a clan that chased, terrorized, maimed, or murdered you folks in mass. We didn’t eradicate the natives. We didn’t chose the man that oversaw our military murdering one million Middle Eastern civilians in a false war. We didn’t vote to racially profile and chase Latinos in the street and deny them due process. This is all you folks and the folks that covet what you have. Exactly when do y’all display ANY humanity to someone that doesn’t look like you?

Taxation for the public good is not fascism and we’ve been under Trumps tax code since 2017. So this is just ironic. The erosion of our rights is fascism in the name of state sponsored violence and control. The left are not the ones decimating rights to civility, environmental protections, consumer protections, voting, unlawful search and seizure, a speedy trial, or congressional war powers. We are about to run out of water because of these data centers, owned by billionaires ghat all bent the knee and bribed Trump and have Marines on the ground right now in Iran. She works for the federal government, the largest employer of black Americans in the country. You just helped elect a man who about half a million women that look like her out of the job across the country. They tried to say she was unqualified. In reality she was more qualified than all the rest who held her position.. Sound familiar?

Over 75% of black Americans still experience some level of discrimination to this day. Including myself. My entire family had to pool resources to protect one of my parents in a racial discrimination case that almost took her career away unjustly. Many are not that lucky. EEO cases are very hard to win. We deal with more shit than you can ever comprehend.

I am a Democrat. I served in the Clinton administration. I did not vote for Donald Trump and am highly unlikely to support him or his acolytes in the future. I also have serious disagreements with many of the Trump administration’s domestic and foreign policies. But it is profoundly disturbing that a growing segment of the far left appears to be almost rooting for Hamas, Hezbollah, the Iranian regime, and other forces fundamentally opposed to the United States and our allies. This seems to reflects a corrosive strain of anti-Americanism, dressed up in postcolonial theory, that risks blinding us to the moral realities of our world and the nature of our adversaries.

@ggreenwald I think they've been pretty honest about why Iran is getting hit. The imminent threat to the US might be up for debate, but pretending that Iran is anything more than a terrorist state that is a threat to anyone around them is absurd.

This 2008 Trump interview about Nancy Pelosi applies to him now, but is also true: Dems ran in 2006 by promising to de-fund the Iraq War. Dems won, Pelosi become Speaker, and she immediately said they wouldn't: they wanted the Iraq War to contine to help them win in 2008.
