EGX has been pure comedy gold. They got the names wrong on a match (which is common, ok) but then interviewed the wrong person and it was just fucking beautifully awkward as the host had no idea until the end. Watch from here: twitch.tv/videos/2600866…

A reflection on my first VSFighting experience… I planned on attending purely as a spectator - to enjoy watching the best players Tekken has to offer - but instead decided to gain some competitive experience and enter the bracket. I’m only a year into my Tekken journey. I never would’ve expected that my very first game in Pools would be live on the main stage, and the official Tekken stream, against the awesome @ShykoPlays. My nerves were through the roof and I certainly didn’t give my best performance, but it was an amazing (albeit humbling) experience. It was also awesome to have the legendary @SamDDing and @PunLife_ - two of my favourite casters - commentate my game. I didn’t make it too far in the lower bracket either, running into @GliderDew’s incredibly strong Lili a few rounds in, but it was still a thrill to compete. Throughout the weekend, it’s been great to catch up with some of the people I’ve met through locals, finally meet some of the legends I’ve played with online, and watch some incredible games involving some of the best players in the world. Everyone at the event was kind and welcoming. Getting to say hello, and ask questions, to some of the names I’ve been watching compete on the global stage for the last 12 months felt surreal. Finally, experiencing that Top 8 in the IMAX auditorium was a special experience. Given the size of the queue to get in, I felt fortunate to get a space inside. Thank you to the @electronicdojo team for putting on the event. Well done to @IronPrideFury and the tournament organisers for keeping everything running smoothly. And thank you to everyone who made it one of the best weekends ever and an incredible first experience for me. Congratulations to @Mulgold98 on winning such a stacked event! I’m already looking forward to coming back in 2025. ❤️🔥👊🏻 #VSFXII
