🚨ALL MEXICO CELLPHONE USERS MUST REGISTER WITH GOVERNMENT-ISSUED ID OR THEIR LINE WILL BE SUSPENDED
Mexico has once again taken the mandatory digital ID route.
The government is now officially requiring every citizen and user to register their cellphone number with a government-issued ID by June 30, 2026.
If a person has not completed the registration by that deadline, their cellphone number will be suspended until the registration is done.
This is one step closer to a fully digital ID-controlled society.
Just last week, Mexico announced that cash payments will soon be phased out eventually, starting with gas stations and highway toll booths, where only digital payments will be accepted.
