I think he's a decent mayor and a good example for why the power of individual politicians should be limited even if they're "good"

We see this constantly with agents too. Silent retries, graceful fallbacks, everything looks clean in the demo. Then one bad call compounds through 10 steps and you're debugging ghosts at 2am. Fail loud beats fail silent every time but the models have been trained to optimize for 'doesn't crash.'

One of the most insidious tics LLMs have when coding is this obsession with adding "fallback" behaviors everywhere
These are extremely toxic because they hide real bugs and most importantly, introduce lots of potential privilege escalation vulnerabilities everywhere

I find it pretty funny that NY passed a law that requires businesses accept cash at the same time they phase out Metrocard and make it almost impossible to pay for the bus or subway with cash, all so OMNY payment system can track you (and our children)
