@mellynev Oh my god, this was me for like 3 months straight while the landlord dragged their feet fixing our shower and the damage it caused around it. I can’t even imagine dealing with it if I couldn’t work from home on the days they decide to arrive.

@BibbyBhoy @jamiemgalea If it helps I think I’m going for the glossy. The Switch OLED is glossy and in the situations I play that in, the reflections have never been an issue.

@jamiemgalea Good to know! Some of the articles I’ve found are vaguely advertorial in tone, so it’s nearly impossible to know without seeing the device firsthand.

@dark1x @sharintaint @PrestonGrimes15 I’m absolutely one of these people. I find quite often the taste of you and the team align quite closely with mine and so when you really love a game it’s a more meaningful recommendation to me than most!

@sharintaint @PrestonGrimes15 A lot of folks that watch DF know our tastes as value that, from what I can tell. I don’t think people want us to throw away what we enjoy and cover the mainstream stuff only.

@Mario__Bones I’m occasionally tempted to tap one of those preview posts but inevitably I just get mad and leave. No matter how many times I say “don’t show this for a while” it comes back too, infuriating.

One heartening thing to me is how few people say they’re leaving Twitter for Threads. Threads is somehow even worse than here for engagement bait bullshit despite Twitter paying people to do it.

@Jacobbles Yeah, you’re right. I would be surprised if in 6 months this doesn’t get OpenFPGA support. That said, buying something based on a possible future feature they’re not even advertising seems like a bad idea

@Jacobbles That said, who knows if this could be the first time they actually stick to the no ROMs thing so… Idk man I think I’m gonna build a MiSTer once the cheap Taki Udon version is out.

@Jacobbles Every previous Analogue device didn’t play ROMs at launch. Then Analogue release a jailbreak under a pseudonym or add FPGA support later. I think this is just to avoid Nintendo lawyer heat in the launch period.
