I had all the sympathy for @HackneyAbbott after the vile and violent comments made by Hester. No one should be at the receiving end of such racism and violence. But her article in the Independent condemning Labour, when they have risen to show solidarity with her, isn't great.

This was in response to my question calling to keep SUFC in Scunthorpe, at today’s “Full Council” meeting. I pushed the link between local sport and mental health - but was openly heckled by three Conservative Councillors before Waltham even answered.

@TheBints @JamesEFoster I’m not sure comprehension is your strong point as you’ve again responded with something irrelevant to the topic. Nobody is having to personally pay for private healthcare. Streeting is saying the NHS will pay private hospitals to use their facilities to clear the backlog.

Or, you know: invest in the NHS? There’s a thought. And still people are defending these jokers.

@TheBints @JamesEFoster I’m not sure how any of this is relevant? This isn’t about Wes Streeting paying for his own health care…it’s about whether or not we can use private health providers temporarily to help clear the large NHS waiting lists caused by Covid and the Tories.
