@joeltelling @PrintedSolid I've been using only Jessie PLA for the MK4S's at work. Parts come out fantastic and repeatable every time! Hands down the most consistent filament with fantastic color options and quick delivery! As long as everything continues going well, it will be the only filament we use!

End of an era. David is one of the coolest people I know, and Printed Solid wouldn’t be what it is today without him. If you have some @PrintedSolid Jessie filament, throw it on a printer and print something lovely.

@greghuber My concern is what happens to the machine if the site goes down. My town has 2 for the library makerspace and i fear that if they go down they wont be replaced by anything that has the level of control and ease of use that Glowforge has. "Click button, get part" is key for them.

I wish Glowforge would've innovated more on improving their machines vs focusing mostly on high cost materials and software improvements. They seem to be struggling, and I'm guessing they may go out of business in the next 2-3 years (restructured/rebooted the company last year).

Anyone ever installed @SOLIDWORKS for Makers? I wanted to give it a try, paid, and now it just... never installs. It keeps trying to install the "3DExperience" over and over and goes no further. Why do these CAD companies make it so difficult to just download their software?

@CanuckCreator @UncleJessy4Real Coworkers asked me to print the enclosure files for his AD5X. Only available in a single .zio with a single 3mf file that creates new profiles, printer, and slicing settings. So annoying to have to switch everything back. Just give me the files AND the 3MF... don't just use 3MF..

@UncleJessy4Real nothing more annoyhing to loading a 3mf file to print on one of my vorons and it goes and overrides all my settings and adds and AMS and 4 filaments

Hot Take .3mf files suck they are not universally usable between slicers and printers and I'm constantly loading / reloading files and at this point I'd rather just have an STL with basic settings outlined in the file description

@JoshMurrah Would you look back when it's done and be OK even if its not perfect? Is it something you could easily replace in the future if you DON'T like it? If there's a No to either one, just bite the bullet and do the resin print now, otherwise just wait and see how it comes out!

Step 5 + step 12. Had to order @Polymaker_3D olive brown and @Elegoo_Official burgundy red for upcoming steps. Color matching is difficult and I haven’t found a great match for “tan”, going to use polymaker peanut as a close match.

I am stunned and deeply saddened by the news of the passing of Anne Burrell. Anne wasn’t just a fiery chef. She was a radiant spirit who lit up every room she entered. From the very beginning on Worst Cooks in America, our friendly rivalry was fueled by mutual respect: I’d risk bleaching my hair; she’d risk losing hers. An epic wager that epitomized her unbeatable spirit. It was a wager I ultimately lost, but I couldn’t imagine losing to a more fierce competitor. Outside of Worst Cooks I came to know her as a generous and supportive colleague and an even better friend. I’ll always remember her unwavering dedication, not just to food, but to lifting others up. She believed in nurturing culinary potential and celebrating small victories, whether in an amateur cook or on a charity fundraiser. That was Anne. Uncompromising in her standards, yet tender in her mentorship. To her husband Stuart, her stepson Javier, her mother Marlene, sister Jane, and her many friends and fans: please know that Anne’s warmth, vibrant spirit, and generous heart will echo in kitchens around the world and in our hearts forever.
