Something has shifted in Britain. A change that was building for a long time has burst upon us. We see it in the reaction to Henry Nowak’s murder. We see it in the response to the failure to section Valdo Calocane.
People are no longer paralysed by the fear of saying the wrong thing on race. They understand that this fear contributed to both tragedies.
They grasp that, as long as being accused of lacking proper racial sensitivity was the worst thing that could happen to a public-sector worker, the incentives were skewed. They sense that the same anxiety lay behind the failure to restrain Axel Rudakubana, and that it hampered investigation of the rape gangs. They see, in short, that anti-racism has become literally lethal.
I fear the backlash will not be pretty. I hope we can stick to the ideal of a society in which skin colour matters no more than hair colour. But I worry that we may be past that point. The anti-racist bellicosity that we have seen since the Great Awokening, especially from 2015, is conjuring an ugly response. Precisely as some of us tried to warn at the time.

It seems we are entering the violence zone of the white guilt racial order.
This response is tribal and has no place in the Western world. Our white guilt leaders will seize upon this violence as proof that they must double down on their anti-racist policies. They will say, "Oh, look at those racists. We knew all along." They will never see their own complicity in creating this monster.
For years, these elites made certain questions unspeakable. They called you a racist if you pointed out policy failures. If you saw patterns or told the truth, you were a bigot. Now it looks like the words have stopped. So we shouldn't be surprised when force fills the void where honest speech was denied.
Will these elites ever admit that what they built was not redemption but a new tribalism? One that they sacrificed cohesion and colorblindness not for justice, but for their own selfish innocence? And that is worth what?

It wasn’t. With rare exception, colonies were unprofitable, meaning more was spent building infrastructure like roads, railways, buildings, etc. than was exported. And look at places like Singapore and Hong Kong. Both were colonies for a long time and yet they are extremely prosperous.

Musk asks the right question. The answer is philosophical.
The West is not a race or a bloodline. It is a set of ideas: reason as man's means of knowledge, the individual as the unit of value, and the rights that free a mind to think and produce. Those ideas built the modern world.
That is exactly why it is the target. Multiculturalism rests on the premise that no truth is objective, that a culture is just a tribe you were born into, all equal, none to be judged. But judgment is the issue. A code that protects the individual is not the equal of one that stones him.
The hatred aimed at the West is hatred of reason itself, by men who cannot meet its standard and resent those who can.
