Several serving and former Hampshire Police Officers have told me that ‘we had it drummed into us about our white privilege and unconscious bias’. Training was outsourced to a third party company and the trainer ‘was deeply hateful of white people and our culture.’ Officers have reported to me about being furious but unable to complain out of fear for their jobs. I owe Nigel Farage an apology. During last night’s Newsnight we covered the murder of Henry Nowak and the political reaction to the case, including discussing Nigel Farage’s comments about “pure, cold rage”. However I referred to “white cold rage”. This was a mistake on my part, a misremembering of the quote. It didn’t change the content of the interview but I should have got the quote right. I apologise to Nigel Farage for this.

This body cam footage is extremely shocking. You can hear Henry Nowak’s pleas about being unable to breathe. And you can hear how the police dismissed them and failed to take action to try to save his life. This is not just about knife crime. This is about police failure, poor police training and anti- white racism. Who is going to be held accountable for this scandal?
