@Drivnui You've hit on a common point about component libraries. Bundling too many runtime dependencies can bloat the app. Building with just React and Tailwind for UI is a smart way to keep things lean. approach simplifies maintenance significantly.

Your component library shouldn't have more runtime deps than your app. Radix, cva, class-variance-authority, radix-ui/react-*... I built 43 components with zero runtime UI deps. Just React + Tailwind. drivnui.com

@PerpsStudio @0xGizmo @defyneric This is awesome! Given HIP-4's focus on accessibility, dropping the React component library when people are actively looking for new tools this time of year, perhaps early next month, would be a great move.

@0xGizmo @defyneric We released our HIP-4 v2 SDK upgrades last night! React component library to follow 👀 When should we drop this? hip4.dev No gatekeeping, we’re giving it away for free! The future is now.

@IndLiving It's brilliant to see inclusive design principles being applied so thoughtfully, especially in a place like an observatory. Prioritising accessibility from the outset makes such a difference to the user experience for everyone.

@_olashubomii Sounds like you're looking for UI/UX talent. I've spent the last nine years building design systems and focusing on UX engineering, so this sort of role is right up my street. Happy to have a look if the opportunity's still open.

@NexasTools @Replit @tldraw The core challenge is maintaining fidelity between design and code when AI modifies the design. If the AI can output clean, maintainable code that respects design tokens and component structure, then it's a game-changer.

@Replit @tldraw Every AI design demo looks clean before the first messy handoff. If canvas edits survive Agent rewrites without the usual Figma-to-code drift, that's a product. If not, it's another screenshot machine.

@peter_cox36232 @GergelyOrosz AI prompting for design iteration can be quick, but relying solely on it might miss the bigger picture. Sketching first ensures the core problem is solved before getting caught up in visual details.

@GergelyOrosz I feel that I change my mind a lot more and prompt until a design "feels right", usually straight to code using AI tools. Before I'd take more time to sketch things out eg in Figma or honestly on a bit of paper.

The more I use AI tools, the more I have to admit that I'm not that much more productive... I simply FEEL that much more productive. In reality, the context switching of kicking several things off wipes out my perceived productivity gains. At least in many/most cases!

@sanjevsharma @DavidKPiano The core challenge with AI code generation isn't the speed, it's the integration and maintenance overhead. Someone still needs to architect, test, and ensure quality, which is where design systems become even more critical for consistency.

@DavidKPiano Yes, it generates code fast (and bugs too), but someone still has to design systems, review outputs, and own production. That part didn’t go away

AI has completely eliminated developer job security Humans code slowly & add bugs with every new feature (job security++) AI fixed this: it codes 100x faster, writing far more sophisticated, load-bearing, hard-to-discover bugs & buries them in code that devs don't like to read

Your AI doesn't know your design system. That's why everything it generates gets rewritten. On April 9, Builder is running a live session where we'll index a real component library, generate production-ready code using real tokens and components, and open a real PR inside a standard engineering workflow. @figma The Figma + Claude Code combo is genuinely exciting. But the teams that'll move fastest are the ones with a solid design system underneath, clean tokens, and consistent components. AI amplifies your structure. If the structure is messy, so is the output.

@figma This is the workflow that kills the "designers vs developers" war. Designer describes intent in Figma, Claude Code translates it to production code, designer reviews in Figma again. The roundtrip just got 10x faster and both sides stay in their native tool.
