NEWS Eric Swalwell’s new and prior financial disclosures show a mix of questionable charges to his campaign, and dubious tax and cash management strategies amid signs of a cash crunch worsened by overspending on a high-flying lifestyle. Swalwell runs a high-earning $461K two-income household, but still charged dubious expenses to his campaign, made chronic and risky delays in paying income taxes, and made precarious withdrawals from retirement accounts. He charged more than $244,000 in childcare expenses—tuition, daycare—to his campaign from 2019 to 2025, his disclosures show and the Sacramento Bee found. That’s the highest in the House, with nearly $60,000 in 2022 alone. Here’s the possible ethics problem. They are permitted under FEC law only if the charges are incurred in years the candidate is running for office or performing campaign duties. But in three of those six years he was not running for office. He charged $20K in childcare costs just days after his 2024 re-election. These FEC laws are notably lax (House members rarely charge these costs to their campaigns, reportedly only 68 during that time frame). The reporting has been out there that Swalwell has also charged luxury items to his campaign, such as stays at high-end hotels (including a well-known luxury hotel in Dubai), a $17K yacht rental, and costly airfare and travel totaling tens of thousands of dollars. He charged $360K for car and limo services paid to a campaign staffer since 2021, reports show, and he charged for thousands of dollars spent on restaurants. Swalwell’s campaign spent nearly $90,000 on travel in just the last quarter of 2023. His household has large student loan debt, up to $100K, $15K-50K credit card balances, and a $1M-5M mortgage. One of the biggest red flags his financial world is out of control is he reduced or zeroed out his tax withholding on his congressional salary in some years, effectively delaying paying federal taxes and incurring penalties. Also he and his wife pulled significant cash, more than $145,000, from retirement accounts over several years. #News @EveningEdit @FoxBusiness @FoxNews @ap @CBSNews @abc @ReutersBiz @reuters @WhatsNewsWSJ @WSJ #ericswalwell @ericswalwell

HUGE: The Chinese-Americans accused of attempting to explode an IED at MacDill Air Force Base Visitor’s center in Tampa were anchor babies for illegal parents, colleague @MaryMargOlohan reports. DHS nabbed the duo’s parents, Qiu Qin Zou and Jia Zhang Zheng, on March 18 for illegal entry. The parents applied for asylum in 1993, but were denied by an immigration judge, who issued them a deportation order in 1998. The Board of Immigration Appeals repeatedly denied their attempts to have their case reopened. Despite the repeated denials for status, they remained in the US. dailywire.com/news/exclusive…

Americans fly to Turkey for $3,000 dental implants that cost $40,000 in Manhattan. They drive to Tijuana for $800 MRIs priced at $12,000 in San Diego (literally 15 minutes north). Medical tourism revenue hit $100 billion globally in 2023 while US healthcare spending broke $4.5 trillion. The market speaks louder than any policy wonk ever could. When you can get the same cardiac surgery in Bangkok for $15,000 that costs $200,000 in Boston—using the same equipment, often better facilities, and surgeons trained at Johns Hopkins—the pricing isn't reflecting scarcity or quality. It's reflecting capture. Insurance companies created this beautiful racket where they negotiate "discounts" off artificially inflated prices, hospitals play along because the government backstops the whole charade through Medicare reimbursements, and pharmaceutical companies... well, they just price whatever the market will bear (which turns out to be everything you own plus your firstborn). Austrian school economists predicted this decades ago. When you remove price signals and direct payment, costs explode. When Americans rediscover actual market prices by flying to Mumbai for heart surgery, suddenly they remember what healthcare actually costs when providers compete for cash-paying customers instead of...

🚨Florida CFO: “We should start CHARGING politicians with crimes for voting on sanctuary policies and make THEM accessories to whatever crimes illegals commit in those jurisdictions!”

INSANITY: The suspects connected to an attempt to plant an explosive device at MacDill Air Force Base are the children of ILLEGAL ALIENS. @ICEgov apprehended the suspects’ parents, Qiu Qin Zhou and Jia Zhang Zheng, illegal aliens from China. This attempted attack illustrates why the improper recognition of “birthright citizenship” for the children of illegal aliens is not only inconsistent with the Constitution, but endangers all Americans. dailywire.com/news/exclusive…

BREAKING: DHS confirms ICE arrested Salah Sarsour today, the president of the Islamic Society of Milwaukee. DHS says he is a terrorist, a Jordanian national who was convicted of throwing Molotov cocktails at the homes of Israeli soldiers, then lied on his U.S. immigration applications and got a green card under President Clinton.

@StephenM The Dems also lost over 300,000 migrant children. Anyone who thinks they care about the welfare of this nation are foolish to believe that. Thank you Stephen for your service!

VIRGINIA VIOLENCE. 3 murders by illegal aliens in Fairfax County by illegal aliens already this year. Governor Spanberger must commit to not releasing these murderers from jail and work with ICE to ensure they are never allowed back into our communities to kill more innocents.
