A couple of hours ago I had a strong emotional experience and I would be honored if you would consider reading this. I lost it standing at my stove making grilled cheese. The tears flowed. As many of you know my brain surgery was November the 10th 2020 and I woke up March 1st, 2021. After the coma I endured challenging rehabilitation. I could not talk yet. My mind could barely comprehend anything that was said to me. If you were to direct me to spread butter on a piece of bread it would be necessary for me to repeat the direction to myself in my mind three or four times to gain comprehension. 5 years ago this month around the second week of April I remember this very well was the first time in my rehabilitation where Dr Megan stood with me giving me play by play steps of how to make a grilled cheese. What I did not know is that this was part of assessing the extent of what they fear to be permanent brain damage. I did not even understand something was wrong. I did not know normal from abnormal, yet. It took forever to make that grilled cheese. The following day we did it again. The day after we made another grilled cheese. I remember around the 4th or 5th day laying in bed at night and I could not wait to make the grilled cheese the next day. This is what my life had become. And I don't say that to be pitiful. I didn't realize what was happening to me so I had a child-like enthusiasm to look forward to making grilled cheese. I couldn't wait. It made me happy. Here I am 5 years later and over the last few months I am declining with some of my capabilities. Today has been a hard day physically. My tremors have been extensive today and my hands have not had one moment of calm steadiness. My mind is sharp but slower. I could focus on my limitations but I choose not to. And it is a choice. I look at how far I have come. Now I can make entire dinners for myself and company. I remember my first day of rehab they wheeled me down stairs and situated me in front of children's blocks all assembled together directing me to put the blue ones and yellow ones and the red ones all in separate piles according to their color. Eventually they gave me a deck of cards and told me to play solitaire as if I even knew what the word solitaire meant. I had to learn to put the two in front of the three and the three in front of the four etc. And since then I have authored 10 books. And I have found all of you. And I continue to raise awareness of navigating a life living with cancer joyfully. Yes I shake and I struggle and I have physical pain but I don't give a damn. Why? Because by God I know how to make a grilled cheese!
(Please consider reposting as I continue to find my former followers on this new account). Thank you. God bless and bon appetit! ❤️

Jeremy is one of the new boys that arrived on the weekend ❤️
He’s a bit shy at first but already we are seeing him come around and wag his tail.
He’s 3yrs old, great with other dogs, good on a lead and curious.
He’s definitely happier when he’s with other dogs, they make a big difference.
Will you share? 🙏🏻❤️

How adorable is Enana? 😍
She’s 9yrs old and was handed in by a Galguero as she’s too old for service.
Enana is really sweet and loving and loves to be with other dogs.
She’s good on a lead, a bit cheeky, extremely cute and quite small.
Her grey whiskers are enough to win anyone over … what do you think? ❤️

@Elizabe13014545 Also when you reach 80 years old, you get an increase of (25 pence) per week extra. That has not changed since they started adding it in 1970. Extra help in your older years supposedly .

Please retweet, RSPCA asks people to adopt a dog if they can, as the British pet crisis worsens #UK
'This is something we see far too often, responding to over 75 separate incidents each involving 100 animals or more just last year.
There can be many reasons why people end up with far more animals than they can care for, such as mental health conditions, disability, bereavements, and serious financial issues. These cases are often complex, and the people involved need help and support to get back onto the right path or to access the services they need themselves.
This was the case here, when we were contacted by Dogs Trust to help them find rescue spaces for 250-poodle cross dogs being kept in a home by an extremely vulnerable, elderly owner.
The numbers and living conditions of the dogs had rapidly spiralled out of control, with help being sought for the dogs once someone discovered how the owner had been living.
Situations like these put an immense strain on our resources, and we are incredibly grateful to the fellow charities and public bodies who support us during these complex multi-agency operations.
Due to several extremely large-scale rescues like this, we're now facing a capacity crisis. There's never been a more urgent time to adopt. Start your search today:

@Ravious101 Why are people so vicious and always happy to try and degrade and put others down. we are all individuals and should be able to live our lives as we want and not be abused by people who don't know us. Life is too short, so if you can't say something nice, keep your mouth shut.

Pierce Brosnan and Keely Shaye Brosnan did something very romantic for his wife
Pierce Brosnan’s birthday gift to his wife left everyone speechless
After more than 20 years together, the actor’s romantic tribute to Keely stunned fans — proving that real love doesn’t age.
The former James Bond star shared a sweet photo of the couple posing with the enormous arrangement on Instagram, captioning it:
"Sixty roses for my brown eyed girl on her 60th birthday.
Forever happy and blessed was I to be sitting there when you walked around the corner early one morning in Cabo San Lucas."
The post melted hearts online, with fans and celebrities praising their enduring romance (they met in 1994, married in 2001, and have two sons together).
It's a beautiful example of how their love has only grown stronger after more than two decades. "MobLand" star and former James Bond Pierce Brosnan says despite recently saying the iconic role is now for another actor, he’d pick up the phone if fans and the film studio really wanted him back.
