One question I've been pondering on lately is, why exactly do we want democracy? Is it for the election festivals/rituals held every 4 years or does it really work? Will it be so bad if we had 1 leader stay more than 4 years? Especially if that leader is truly fixing the country and improving our quality of life. But on the flip side, what happens when we get a leader that is not doing what we sent him there to do? How do we get such out of power? Can 1 party state work in a system such as ours? Or do we need opposition that can quite frankly be used by foreign powers to interfere in our affairs. (See 2015) How do we stop our people from colluding with foreign powers to undermine our government? Are we open to strict laws and punishment for working against the interests of the state? Are we open to surveillance by the state to make sure everyone is working in line with the goal of nation building? How do we define free speech? Will criticism of the state be viewed as treason or some form of contribution to nation building? Above all, how do we cultivate the next set of leaders to hand such a system to? But most importantly, how do we make sure those leaders will live and die for the people and not out to enrich themselves and a select clique? Our nation is dying a painful death. But everyone in position to fix it is out with a fork and knife, trying to cut their own slice before the carcass go bad. We have just a few years left. It won't get better. Not like this.

I am not really trying to argue or convince anyone here anymore. I understand that for some people, their conclusions are settled. But I do want to speak to Christians, and even to honest atheists, who might read this and feel the weight of what is being said.
What is being claimed, at its core, is that because life is extremely hard and full of suffering, God must not exist. But that conclusion does not logically follow. Suffering is real, and in many places it is overwhelming, but it does not disprove God. It only challenges a certain expectation of what God should be like and what He should be doing right now.
The Bible already tells us that the world is broken, that injustice exists, and that human life will include real pain. So when we see suffering, we are not seeing something that contradicts Christianity. We are seeing something Christianity has been describing all along.
In fact, suffering should not push us away from God, but make us run toward Him. Think about it. When we see evil, injustice, and pain, something in us says, “This is wrong. This should not be like this.” But where does that standard come from? If there is no God, then suffering is not ultimately wrong, it just is. There is no final justice, no ultimate correction, no deeper meaning. It is just a harsh reality we have to accept.
And this is where other worldviews struggle just as much, if not more. Every worldview has to deal with the problem of evil. Saying “God does not exist” does not remove suffering, it only removes any ultimate explanation, justice, or hope beyond it. You still have the same pain, but now without any final resolution.
Christianity does not pretend suffering is easy. It says something has gone deeply wrong with the world, and that God has entered into that suffering through Jesus Christ and will ultimately judge and restore all things. That means suffering is not meaningless, and it is not the end of the story.
So if you are a Christian reading this and feeling shaken, do not let someone else’s conclusion become your foundation. The presence of suffering is not proof that God is absent. It is the kind of world the Bible says we are living in. And instead of letting it drive you away from God, let it push you toward Him, because He is the only one who offers both an explanation and a hope that suffering will not have the final word.

The practical use cases for LLMs are coming in hot and it will improve life by far

Why do you people enjoy wasting other people’s time.
Someone leaves a 700k remote job because they were made to wait three hours, and instead of addressing the disrespect, you start using salary to justify nonsense behavior.
Why are you using money to excuse lack of basic professionalism.
700k does not buy someone’s time or dignity.
This thing is very common with Nigerian employers.
I worked a hybrid role before, and meetings never started when they were supposed to.
Everybody would be seated.
The managing director would be absent.
And we would be told to wait.
“Why are you in a hurry.”
“Small girl like you.”
“What appointment do you have.”
As if my time is less valuable because of my age or role.
No respect for time at all.
It was when I started working with a foreign company that my eyes opened.
If a meeting is by 10am, you show up by 9:55.
Time is taken seriously.
No stories.
I honestly pray everyone gets the opportunity to work with foreign companies.
Because this time-wasting culture is just one of the many problems with most Nigerian employers.
