I think rr is sarcastic and hyperbolic, I think shes out of her depth with the character she created, I think her books are fun and lovely and mean a lot to a lot of people, I think she can be careless with her comments, I think the fandom always seeks a villain. ✨️nuance✨️.

i already know people will jump in saying we can’t question author intent. she can 'envision' the characters however she likes but that doesn’t override how the text actually lands. hope people defending rachel know what 'death of the author' means
