another vindication is how we said shane was never meant to be loved by the readers and it was hudson (and jacob) who get all the credits for shane becoming so loved. mw ilya was always written as the flashy character w all of the typical book boyfriend tropes thrown at him

Really interesting how RR accepted people w/lived experience saying Shane is autistic but not people with lived experience saying that Shane has disordered eating, if not a full blown ED, but that’s probably because Shane’s diet was written as something for Ilya to make fun of
