"I’ll be honest, I’m shocked this "Democrats founded the KKK" line really is being said in 2026. Like grown adults really say this with the intent of, "Ahh, I gotcha!" I mean, continue telling the rest then. That’s like blaming me for something happening in a house I moved out of 20 years ago. Yeah, history matters, but so does what happened after. To stop with the rest is dishonest, and makes me wonder if you do it on purpose, or you really don't know. When Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed, after that, no Democratic presidential candidate has won a majority of white voters nationwide since. The Truth Never expires, no matter how much sauce you put on the rice.

@corehest @GeeScottSr How about you dig a little deeper and see how all of these pedophiles are white Christian males lol go dig deep in that shit. I rather for a person to steal something to survive than be molesting babies and raping women and children. Or even molesting animals.

According to this post — and many like it — there was a political shift about 60 years ago. We’re told that although certain people held one set of beliefs before, they’ve held different ones since. Cool. At the same time, we’re told that America itself — and certain groups within it — have NOT meaningfully changed over a *much longer period*. Both of those cannot be true at the same time. Either people and systems can change over time — or they can’t. You don’t get to pick when change counts and when it doesn’t.
Isaac Hayes III@IsaacHayes3

What Nick Cannon said is exactly how misinformation spreads. Yes, the KKK was tied to Southern Democrats in the 1800s. That part is true. But leaving out what happened next changes the entire meaning. In the 1960s, after Lyndon B. Johnson passed the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Voting Rights Act of 1965, the racists who supported segregation did not just disappear… They left the Democratic Party and shifted politically. That is a huge part of the story that keeps getting left out. AND THAT MATTERS. Because when we, especially Black voices with big platforms, repeat half stories, it does not just stay a conversation. It spreads and it can be used against us. We cannot afford to be loud and wrong at the same time, especially right now.

@corehest @GeeScottSr Im still waiting on someone to tell me what Nixon, Reagan, Bush 1 & 2, & Trump 2 times have done for black people. Republicans fuck this country up every time. This time is no different.

That’s not the point. Republicans are a non-factor for the black community…..why, because the black community votes democrat over 97%. So bringing up Republicans is irrelevant! The focus is strictly on democrats and their inability to do anything right pertaining to American Citizens!

@corehest @GeeScottSr What exactly have republicans done for black people? Other than intentionally flood black neighborhoods with drugs during Nixon and Reagan administrations

@corehest @DimmieG1983 @GeeScottSr You don't live in any of those cities and get your information from Fox News. Your opinion isn't very valuable on this subject.

@corehest @GeeScottSr I didn’t realize “nothing” included things like the Civil Rights Act, Voting Rights Act, and Fair Housing Act. You can argue outcomes, but saying nothing ignores a lot.
