@kylegawley @buffer Would love to have you try out my iOS app, Burst. It's meant to capture ideas quickly and uses AI to help you transform those thoughts into platform-specific posts, instead of writing it for you

There's a bazillion post scheduling apps but none seem to actually solve the problem well Thinking of going back to the OG @buffer because it's the only one with a mobile app and I can easily save random content ideas that come to me when I'm not on the laptop + they're don't look like their pushing AI slop everywhere

Goodbye, checkmark. Growth on X isn't as important for me as it once was. And if you're not actively trying to grow, I don't see any value in having a subscription. There's still lots of valuable information on here, but I'd rather spend this money directly on my projects. See you further down in the replies from now on!

It's so difficult to market a product that you don't want to use yourself. Realizing lately how important it is to build projects in domains that you are truly passionate about. It can be a great product, but if it doesn't align with your goals/passions, it's much harder to work on.

Color is one of the most underrated tools for prioritizing important UI Day 13 of building in public! Since I launched my app, Burst, I've had a good number of downloads and signups. However, almost no one is reaching my paywall. Taking a step back, I realized that the previous UI did not prioritize the AI Coach and really almost hid it. I added some new color to this card and I'm really happy with how it turned out. What do you think? Better or worse?

Don't limit yourself to just one channel Same website after 1 month on Google vs. Bing I used to always focus solely on Google and I've realized this was a huge mistake! When starting a new website, Google takes FOREVER to start indexing. Bing does it extremely quickly if everything's set up right. This was a huge lesson for me to always have multiple marketing channels, especially when they can play off of each other Now I'm using the traffic from Bing to help me "persuade" Google to index my site faster

What's everyone using for analytics? PostHog is so overkill for small SaaS...

AI should help you write social media content, not write it for you For me, creating engaging content is difficult. I understand it's important to just be "authentic" and write about any ideas or experiences you have, but actually transforming those thoughts into valuable messaging on multiple different platforms (Reddit, X, LinkedIn, etc.) is where things get tricky At first, I thought having AI transform my ideas would be the solution. The problem I kept running into though is that the tools that promise to “write for you” often remove the personality in your writing and make everything bland. As AI-generated content continues to rise, it's going to be more beneficial than ever to write things yourself to grow your business/personal branding I still believe AI can play a role in this though. Instead of writing content for you, AI can be more of a "coach" and give you simple feedback that helps you expand your ideas and create content that engages the reader. I like to think of AI as a personal trainer. They can't do the exercises for you, but they can show you the proper tips and techniques to become successful I actually wrote this post with the help of AI through the app, Burst. I wrote down the idea for this post a few days ago, and I've been crafting my draft with the help of the AI Coach. This post scored a 8.5/10, so let's see how it does. If you'd like to try this out as well, you can find the app on the App Store by searching "AI Writing Coach - Burst" What do you think about the direction that AI-generated content is heading? As AI continues to improve, do you believe it'll become ever more important to write your own content?

Build in Public -> Launch in Public Day 12 of building my AI writing coach, Burst. Today is finally launch day! After quite a few rejections for some small metadata issues, I'm finally on the App Store. It's time to take off the building hat, and put on the marketing hat. Since this is a writing coach for X, Reddit, LinkedIn, and Medium, I've been struggling with the best ways to market this app. TikTok/Instagram are usually my "go-to" marketing platforms, but I'm not sure my potential users are really spending time there. My thought process is though that anyone trying to improve their X, Reddit, LinkedIn or Medium is probably on there already, so these may also be the best channels to market. What do you think of this strategy? Do you spend a lot of time planning your marketing around launch or just adapt as you go?

Started a migration to @Hostinger with @coolifyio today Can't believe how easy it was Always thought this would be so much harder to configure. It took maybe 30 minutes in total. Should have looked into this a long time ago

Nothing like that first App Store rejection Day 11 of building a social media coach, Burst Finishing your application and making the decision to publish it is a huge step. All the work is done, now it's time to release it to the world and see what people have to say. You feel on top of the world at this point, and there's nothing that brings you back down to reality faster than an App Store rejection. No matter how well I think I prepare for the submission, there's always something that seems to slip through the cracks. Thankfully, this rejection was just due to some incorrect metadata configurations. A quick 5 minute fix and we're back to in review. Have you ever passed review on the first try?
