#ADHD is not: - a personal defect - a superpower - trendy - cute/quirky - “not that bad” - “an excuse for being lazy” - just for boys/kids - over-diagnosed - a ploy by big pharma ADHD is: - a lifelong invisible struggle that makes every aspect of life harder #ADHDAwarenessMonth

@educaust @DrDArmstrong @DRC_AU You're a troll account, aren't you? I notice your last eight replies from this account, stretching back to the start of September, are all to me.

One of the oddest responses to my SMH piece has been “Nobody speaks for suspended students.” That’s simply untrue. A small army of activists do. Academics research them, interview them, map their outcomes. And that is all to the good. Who speaks for the quiet kid? The bullied?

@greg_ashman So where is the dislike. @criprights wants teachers to do their jobs. Do you disagree? Would you prefer teachers to not do their jobs, or just teach certain kids, whilst disabled kids and indigenous kids are suspended with some writers insinuating they are more violent. #racism

There's definitely an element of dislike of children with a disability in the opinion piece/blog entries written. There are perhaps a lot of children who have had bad experiences.

There’s definitely an element of dislike of teachers in the comments I’m receiving. There are perhaps a lot of people who’ve had bad experiences. However, I think that suggests the perspectives of actual teachers is even more necessary to the discussion.

@educaust @CarlyMDoc @KuchelLouise @MrAHarrisonCS If you point to some relevant data I’ve ignored then I’ll take a look at it. I’m not convinced that the purpose of research is to establish what is obviously true. I think we’ve already seen this particular point is more about arguing about definitions.
