Today at the @uonbi Grounds, we joined stakeholders from across the health sector to mark #WorldTBDay2026. Speaking during the event, Cabinet Secretary for Health @HonAdenDuale reaffirmed the government’s commitment to ending tuberculosis, emphasizing that Kenya remains firmly aligned with the global #EndTB strategy and is strengthening systems for early detection, treatment, and prevention. Encouragingly, universities, government, civil society, and communities are stepping up. Academic institutions are driving awareness, innovation, and accountability, all of which are key pillars in the fight against TB. Initiatives like the COMBAT-DRTB project show what is possible when sectors come together to strengthen accountability, patient-centered care, and community engagement. Together, we can end TB.
