Who is seeing snow showers or flurries this morning in SVT or the northwest hilltowns into the northern valley? Post time 9:55am.

While this storm is still more likely to produce a moderate snow and wind event in the greater WMass region with some lighter amounts in far northwest MA and SVT, it may produce a major snowfall in parts of CMass and northeast CT and potentially a blizzard on the Cape/Islands.

TikTok is an absolute mess right now. A video published four hours ago still sitting at zero views (1.3M follower account). Tried two more videos a few hours later and they just disappear. Not on my page, no longer in drafts, just gone. I've seen folks suggest this is targeted but from what I'm seeing it's across platform affecting everyone.

Areas in northern Berkshires and parts of SVT may underperform due to not getting enough lift into the DGZ... we have 24 hours before we'll know the final totals, so a long way to go still... but this area has received less then others south and southeast of there...

Well this is a bit alarming... heavy precipitation totals on this one model showing through 7am... if much of that falls as freezing rain, we're gonna have a bigger problem... heavy rain is a poor ice accrete-er, but still, this warrants monitoring...

Winter Storm Warnings and Winter Weather Advisories have replaced the Winter Storm Watches for WMass, CMass, SVT & SWNH (as well as northern Litchfield County CT)... C-3" in northern CT, 2-5" in southern MA and far NW.CT, and 5-9" in the warned areas... warm nose may surprise!

@fire245 I don’t know, have been sick and dealing with other stuff, either lower LLJ, poorer mixing…. Storm did deepen later / slower than expected, so the timing was probably off…

All wind headlines from NWS have been taken down... Worcester gusted to 51mph after midnight, but most spots were around 40mph or under over the past 6 hours... only several hundred outages collectively across the region... underperformance = good news.
