@CheyCab I just book a room in Grand Marais & was shocked at hotel prices. I recently vacationed in Palm Springs and paid much less.

Minnesotans have been telling me they’ve started to shy away from overnight stays on the North Shore because of lodging prices. They just can’t justify or swing $500 a night. Couple with a Blufin unit says that after required updates they basically break even each year.

Has anyone had problems with @priceline? A hotel I booked thru them said PL didn't pay them. I then paid a 2nd time just so I could just get into our room. I've spoken to PL & they admit I'm due a refund, but I've now been home from my trip for 6 weeks & still no refund.

@TheCinesthetic Cold scenes with snow. People rarely wear coats or mittens. Snow never sticks or makes a sound when walking through it. And you never see anyone’s breath when they speak.

@_AudreyKennedy A bodega is a small owner-operated convenience store serving hot and prepared food, often open late night. The NYC Department of Health defines a bodega as any store of sufficient size "that sells milk, meat or eggs but is not a specialty store (bakery, butcher, chocolate shop).

Sometimes all it takes to shatter a conspiracy theory is stepping outside your echo chamber and looking around you. A Flat Earther gets an all-expenses-paid trip to Antarctica. They spend 24 hours there, watching the sun move and seeing undeniable evidence, and suddenly—boom—they’re forced to realize their whole worldview makes about as much sense as a square wheel.

@CheyCab I’ve only been inside a Target store twice since Covid. I used to live at Target, though, & want to support MN-born businesses, but they no longer serve my needs. Bare shelves, lack of choice & boring home goods & clothing have made me shop elsewhere. It’s really disappointing.

@gunsnrosesgirl3 The first thing I thought of was coffee. I still haven’t figured out why so many people like it. It tastes absolutely horrible 🤮 The second is mushrooms. That slimy feel 🤢… And then there’s lemon bars & lemon meringue pie. Who wants a dessert to be tart & bitter? 🤷‍♀️
