@DailyLoud I can’t believe I recognized the place in the video. It’s Lamar University - Communications building. When he leaves look the the white wall, brick and patched concrete side walk.

Very profitable products hiding in plain sight:
When you’re sourcing for Amazon you’ve been taught to use Keepa and review past data to help make your decisions.
If you want to gain an edge you have to be doing one more step too.
Predicting the future.
Here is what I mean. You’ll come across hundreds of products a day while actively sourcing that look like the first half of the chart below. The price is on its way down and offer count is on the way up. We call this the pinch.
Most sellers stay away. This is fair, the product is seeing more competition and your margin if any is shrinking. The chart alone though only tells us this products story at this point in time.
If you want to find some great products with high quantity limits and low competition we need to start predicting the future.
Every drop in price has a reason, and we need to track this reason down and determine if it’s here to stay. The biggest reason these drops happen is clearance/sales. Even a single retailer dropping price heavily can cause a pinch. But not all retailers and sales are built the same.
Next time you see a chart starting to pinch I want you to do two things.
1. Find the culprit. Understand what happened to cause this event.
2. Compare what happened with other non Amazon retailers and see what price they are actively selling it for.
If a low rank historically high volume product falls in price but all other retailers we find through google are still at the original MSRP then this goes on my buy sheet. I’ve done this enough to weigh the risk and often buy deeper on these skus.
Here’s my risk tolerance formula:
3:1. Every item I buy that comes with some risk of tanking I use some form of my 3:1 ratio. Simply put, I determine what my potential profit would be best case scenario. This is me selling at the old MSRP and I want that number to be at least 3x my potential loss if I have to sell the product back at my buy cost.
If I spend $10 on a unit and I would lose $5 if I had to sell it on Amazon at $10 but I would make $20 if I sold it at what I comfortably believe the listing will get back to, then I buy. You only have to win 2/3 of the time for your profit to be worth the risk.
So to recap. Understand what other retailers are doing with these tanked products, if they are all staying high and the listing is showing steady demand it’s a fair play to buy and wait out the tank. Sometimes you need to buy in when everyone is trying to get out.
As always don’t hesitate to post any questions in the comments and follow @SaulSellsStuff for near daily posts about what I’ve learned in the last 8 years as a seller.

@fliponaire62 @CjHustles @fulfilledbyme @GreatLakesFlips @peternelson @microflips @JayFlipIt Congrats Rio!! I’ve been trying to do FBM by going to Nike stores. I’ve bought some good products but I think I still have to tweak my shipping settings. I still haven’t sold nothing.
