A man just surprised his wife with a new home. It was bigger and nicer than where they were currently staying. He took her for a tour of their new home, as we can see she was very excited about it.
Then she finds out that he was able to only get the loan for the house in his name only. Being married she’s still entitled to half if anything happened, however she wasn’t happy about this and insists that he bought the home for her and that it should only be in her name.
Her request seemed a little nearsighted and selfish, but does it also raise a red flag about her intentions?

what a beautiful, unique soulful experience late last night with this homeless man in Las Vegas. he called my name as I walked by. I was surprised so I stopped to say hello and help him out with a little cash. He told me a story how he was at the launch of the #vanhalen #1995 balance Tour in #pensacolaflorida he told me what I was wearing that night, things I said. Remembered #jonstewart introducing us. this man was intelligent, kind, spiritual, and elegant. We talked for a while, and it was enlightening for me to realize how many people like him, families, etc., that have become #homeless I can see it. I just don't know what to do about it.

🤔 What if... Funko handled their limited releases with a dutch auction?
Let’s say a drop has a 750 piece count:
💰 Starting price: $500
⏱ Price drops: $15 every minute
Collectors can buy at any time, but the longer you wait the cheaper it gets… with the risk it sells out first.
This accomplishes two things:
1️⃣ Ensures the drops go to collectors who actually want them most
2️⃣ Lets Funko capture the true market value instead of leaving money on the table for resellers
Right now the system is basically:
🏭 Funko sells it for $15
⚡ It instantly sells out
📈 Flippers sell it for $500
A Dutch auction shifts that value back to the company and real collectors instead of the middlemen.

For the first time in 10-15 years, we did NOT renew our season tickets with the @Jaguars. We have been in the same seats in section 7 since my kids were babies. Instead of give us a first right of refusal, the Jags sold my tickets out from under me- the whole section actually. Been there through Covid. One of the only ones in the section. We will figure out a new plan and will be DTWD but really, really upset that they got this so wrong.

@kode2know @fandompulse The changes they made were unreal. Saying the Dragon could be a boy or a girl would be like asking if Lord of the Rings even needed the Ring. It's central to the entire story and right off the jump you get the impression nobody read any of the books.

George R.R. Martin on how film and TV adaptations make the story worse:
"Everywhere you look, there are more screenwriters and producers eager to take great stories and “make them their own.” It does not seem to matter whether the source material was written by Stan Lee, Charles Dickens, Ian Fleming, Roald Dahl, Ursula K. Le Guin, J.R.R. Tolkien, Mark Twain, Raymond Chandler, Jane Austen, or… well, anyone. @allnewsisbad @fandompulse It was a crime what they did to Wheel of Time. I actually think that's partially why Brandon Sanderson is being so hands on with his stuff. I think if Robert Jordan was alive, WOT would have been a totally different show.

@fandompulse Wheel of Time comes to mind. A series I've read over and over and over again the Amazon show was so different if it didn't have the same title I'd never have recognized it. Game of Thrones was actually a pretty good adaptation all things considered.

We used to have the best MMOs. Real ones remember: Asheron’s Call, EverQuest, WoW, Guild Wars, Shadowbane, OSRS, The Matrix Online, Star Wars Galaxies, City of Heroes, FFXI, DAoC, The Old Republic, EVE Online, and these are just top of mind. Did we leave out your fave MMO? Do people still play?

I think I'm going to advise against my kids getting their wisdom teeth taken out. I wish I hadn't gotten mine out. I feel duped. Why would God have us all grow teeth that need to be taken out?
