@timmckay52 For me personally, it’s a lot of time wasted for a VERY low chance of payoff. You spend time researching the right agents/publishers that match the story you’re querying, send them the query, wait months to hear back, and if all works out you lose all creative control

I keep getting asked why I never queried and self-published from the start. Each time, I find myself less sure how to answer. I may very well query my next series. Any other indies wrestling with this?
