@mylifeinaword Right? And I wear through them like nobodies business.
English

@msafunk It sucks because they are so expensive! I was looking at buying one yesterday and the cheap one was $40.
English

@mcbeatke @BedJetSleep I had never heard of this! I think I need this! Thank you!

@msafunk @BedJetSleep - purchased a couple of years ago for my wife. It's a game changer. Check it out.

@ajennwithtwons @charliemackesy @Lakeviewleth They really are! I feel like nothing quite captures how amazing they are in real life
English

@msafunk @charliemackesy @Lakeviewleth I saw these up close and they really are more impressive in person!

We took a quote from @charliemackesy book from Mole about cake in my 3rd grade class and made paper mache cakes for @Lakeviewleth to enjoy. The kids did fabulous. Pictures don’t do it justice.

@freakindelight @DEHRtoCare We also made paper mache cakes over the past few weeks. We do and talk about all the things in here 🤣

This is how you know you teach kids about the brain a lot. We are prepping for our @DEHRtoCare gala and talking about resilience. One of my grade 3s said “resilience is when your prefrontal cortex controls your reactions to emotions, not your amygdala” 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

We teach our students to name it to tame it. We teach that it’s okay to feel. But we don’t often extend the same grace to ourselves (even though it’s necessary work)

The value of reading, and of writing things down that we read, or hear, cannot be overstated. Two expert guests (who specialize in speech and memory) on the Huberman Lab podcast explained that when we read text or listen to something and then write key aspects/takeaways down by hand- not typing, it engages our motor control centers in ways that deeply embed that information to our memory. Taking notes, however cursory, turns out to be the best way to remember and implement information later.

This announcement barely brings funding back to pre-pandemic levels! It DOESN’T account for the massive influx of students seen in the past 4yrs or the massive increase in classroom complexity. Not to mention to the desperate need to build actual schools. #ableg #abed

Budget 2023 provides more than $820 million over the next 3 years to support enrolment growth in schools. This strong funding commitment will empower school authorities to hire more teachers & obtain more resources for students. 1/2
