I know a lot of billionaires don’t have an income and that’s how they get away with not paying taxes. They just borrow against their assets instead, like stocks. Can we just … ban that? Like no more borrowing against stocks or assets. That way they’d actually have to sell their assets to use them and make an income. Then we can properly tax them. Just a thought. Genuine question.

@rushicrypto Billionaires pay a sh*t load of taxes. Stop regurgitating BS. With that said, Billionaires have created millions of jobs and their services or products have improved our lives.

@Shift1Props @JohnWake Spoiled or bad decisions. The Fed Government's printing of trillions of wasteful and unnecessary dollars causing inflation to sky rocket while simultaneously the Fed Reserve ignored it and kept the Fed Rate at zero for a year to long. They should have been raising rates in 21.

"The ROAD to Housing Act is mostly a continuation of the status quo in federal housing policy" Agreed. "While the US homeownership rate rose slightly from approximately 63 percent to 65 percent between 1965 and 2024, the US population increased from 194 million in 1965 to 340 million by 2024, thus indicating a much larger number of people owning homes (see Figure 1).5 While the optimal number of homes could still be larger, especially with less regulation, it is difficult to characterize this kind of market as one in crisis." #homeownership-misguided-goal" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">cato.org/briefing-paper…

@JohnWake The only time it went above 67% we had the GFC - Real Estate and Banking collopse. Aprox 1/3 of the population shouldn't be a homeowner. Historical data shows it.

@JohnWake Thank you for the common sense post. I've preaching this data to the doom and gloomers. On avergage for the past 60 years the the adult homeownership rate has floated between 62-67%. It was 65.5% in April. On average over 60 yrs aproy 1/3 areni homeowners.

Hard to believe Spencer Pratt lost the election despite having no experience, being highly unpopular and running in a 4:1 democratic stronghold. Makes no sense.

@allenanalysis The question how much should ICE BE EXPANDED. ICE needs to have their powers expanded. ICE should be given authorization to take out the far left wing extremists /Domestic Terrorists rioting on our streets.

BREAKING: New York City's Mayor Just Called For ICE To Be Abolished Ahead of Trumps Visit To Todays NBA Game At MSG. He says ICE raids are "cruel and inhumane" and do nothing to improve public safety. The question is no longer whether ICE needs reform. It's whether one of the federal government's primary immigration enforcement agencies should continue to exist. That's a very different debate.

@RoKhanna SS without a doubt is the worst Ponzi Government Program of all time. US citizens would have made out tremendously better if THEIR income combined with THEIR employers income was put in an aged index fund. Wealth vs Depency
