I assume this guy is trolling because “obey or starve” has been communism’s mission statement from the beginning. Except at the times when it is literally “obey AND starve.”

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu Like I say: make your own mud pies and enjoy all the fruits of your labour, or make expensive goods using someone else's tools and someone else's materials, to be sold to customers that someone else has found. In the latter case, clearly not all the value created belongs to you.

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu So you think that people should take on the responsibility of marketing and selling the "fruits of their labour?"

@Ostsol @SandyofCthulhu That's what happens now when you are paid a wage. If people owned the fruits of their labor, they would likely produce more of it.

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu "From each according to this ability..." When people's needs are guaranteed, there is an incentive not to put forth anything but the minimum effort they can get away with. The result is abysmal productivity.

@GilGandel @SandyofCthulhu You're just describing the work my coworkers do lol. They also deserve to own the labor they produce. Capitalism is when you are paid back a fraction of what you produce in a day while communism is where you own what you make in a day.

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu Capitalism is when your labour actually has value, because someone organised the supply chain, established that someone would buy the product, and provided the equipment to multiply the power of your labour. Or you could make your own mud pies and see how well you live on it.

@nulltrace @SandyofCthulhu No one starves under capitalism, we have created such abundance that the poorest among us are obese And capitalism allows communes, under capitalism you can simply form worker collectives and operate as if communist. It is communism that forces you to work against your will

These fake left imperialists like Kat Abughazaleh say Free Palestine while condemning the Palestinians like Hamas that are fighting to free it Their position is completely incoherent and purely virtue signaling. The fact that the U.S. left keeps falling for it shows how deeply unserious they are

The new strategy of the DNC is to sneak imperialists candidates in by having them also say “Free Palestine” It’s actually baffling that idiots like Hasan Piker fell for this. Supporting pro NATO China hawks simply because they say Free Palestine is peak low IQ left behavior

Can you imagine if the DSA is able to earn the CTU endorsement. The progressives could easily sweep everything.

@BradRTorgersen @steviewelles55 @politicalmath Lmao you just exposed yourself for not understanding socialism but also not understanding capitalism. It's all commingled in your head with "business vibes" lol. Socialism is not market control. It's worker ownership of their own labor. You still have markets and innovation.

When committees control both pricing and production, you no longer have a market. Most developed nations try to have their markets and eat their social welfare cake, too. Including the U.S. With varying degrees of dysfunction. Therefore most people who self-brand as socialists in 2026 have no clue what socialism is, either.

The only good thing I can say about Ehrlich is that I'm glad he lived to 93 I'm glad that he spent the last 30 years of his life knowing that he was wrong about everything. I'm glad no one thanked him for his work and many people blamed him for the misery he created.

@CptAncapistan That doesn't change the fact that workers deserve to own the equity they create with their labor regardless of how it's valued.

Capitalism drives competition and fostering high productivity. Without it, society wouldn’t function because ultimately we can’t control human behavior. Individuals benefit from private property rights, opportunities for wealth creation, and freedom to choose employment or investment, often resulting in higher overall standards of living.

You know what really bugs me these days? We can't own anything. Everything is a subscription service, like literally everything. You can't buy Microsoft Office, you have to purchase a subscription for a year. You literally have to pay for everything FOREVER. Isn't anyone else bothered by this?

@nulltrace @vladuhat999 @lafaiel Do you honestly thing clicking, scrolling, or typing has become appreciably faster in the last 10 years because of single core performance?

What’s interesting about the MacBook Neo is that it basically forces people to admit a smartphone single-core CPU is faster than every x86 laptop CPU in single-core, and on par with the fastest desktop cores. There have been every excuse in the book so far, plus the usual nonsense about Geekbench favoring ARM, but now we’re getting the day where even Cinebench, which people worship like some kind of idol, proves the same thing. If only the MacBook Neo had 16GB of RAM, we probably would’ve seen it beat a $3000 Panther Lake premium laptop in Photoshop too. such a missed opportunity
