Great news for TPD Clive. Just got his hip scores from the BVA who scored him 10 which is a very good score. Here he is today doing what he does best track. So TPD Clive continues to overcome his challenges. 👍

@DC_PoliceDogs @DC_PoliceDogs thank you for going to see my friend at long down today , faith is getting all excited that he might possibly be considered , silly idea would maggie possibly be good for a support dog in a certain disability school 😁

We had a big response to finding a home for Maggie. We chose a family who many years ago had a previous dog from us who had recently passed away. They asked us to hang on while they were on holiday but on their return changed their minds. Back to the drawing board.

The Schnauzer gang. 10 dog handling teams from Plymouth, Torquay and Cornwall competed early today to select 4 dog teams to take part in the Force trials. PD Albert & John (R) were first, PD Bert (L) & Kevin came 3rd. Hopefully 8 month old TPD Clive will follow in their footsteps

NO WORDS. As a pup TPD Clive had to overcome bladder infection issues. After that he had to overcome teeth abnormalities. I am also working on some adverse reactions to some floor surfaces & stairs. But when you see his working drive & determination at only 8 months he is special

I trained PD Albert and PD Bert to bark when locating a hidden article. I did this so when searching at night if I couldn’t see him & he barked I would know he had found something. Some handlers don’t like the bark & so this time I’ve trained TPD Clive to freeze & point.

Update on Clive. Vet removed 1 retained puppy tooth, removed 2 surplus pre molars removed tissue blocking the growth of a molar and tissue blocking the eruption of his lower canines. We just have to wait now to see if the 2 canine teeth now grow. The staff loved him.

Not having much luck. Recently Lost Bex with a hip issue, then TPD Odi broke his leg & now TPD Clive has some teeth abnormalities which could mean his withdrawal from the program. He is seeing a specialist dental 🦷 vet on Thursday. 🤞🤞🤞

Just got back with our latest recruit 8 week old TPD Obi from Avonwolf Malinois’s in Gloucester. Not a squeak all the way back. Let the mayhem begin.

@DC_PoliceDogs It's shame he didn't become a PD but it's lovely that it gets to live permanently with people that love him

Bolt has left the puppy program. I struggled to make the decision because he has always been so enthusiastic & good at training. But he’s is a sensitive soul & I felt it unfair to place him into such a demanding PD role. His puppy family are sad but also delighted to keep him.

Welcome to TPD Clive who I collected on Thursday and is in the capable hands of Mary. The 9 hour journey back from Ceara at Lordstones Giant Schnauzer’s didn’t bother him & he slept right through his first night. I visited him yesterday & what a cracking pup he is. ❤️

My last daytime walk with TPD Ernie before he goes to his new puppy walker. Selfishly I wanted him to stay with me because I adore him. However the imminent arrival of a new puppy in our household means he would be one of 4. In his new home he will be the centre of attention. ❤️
