Trump: “The mission involved 155 aircraft including 4 bombers, 64 fighters, 48 refueling tankers, 13 rescue aircraft and more.” You don’t use this many aircraft for a “rescue” mission. This was a botched invasion to steal the uranium that Iran stopped. Americans are so gullible.

BBC aren’t using the f— word in relation to what Trump has said on Iran. I get it is against their policy to use the word, but the journalistic argument for using it should override that as it makes it clear how dangerously deranged he has now become and with so little dignity.

Terrifying escalation. Al Jazeera confirms the US and Israel are actively bombing Iran's nuclear and heavy water facilities. They are intentionally destroying vital medical research and risking catastrophic nuclear contamination across the entire region. Absolute madness.

Trump is teaching a thing about modern warfare and I hope other world leaders are paying attention. When the search and rescue team were unable to locate the ejected airman after hours of searching, Trump suspended everything, moved away from the public and summoned his security team to an emergency meeting. He controlled and monitored the search right from Washington for over 7 hours. No media. Just pure commitment. He was on ground to communicate directly and give orders easily when needed. He only returned to the public after the safe evacuation of the airman. This is leadership. This is passion. This is commitment. Trump just showed the world how important the life of a US soldier is.

Starmer’s got to cancel Charles’s trip. This bloke is insane, like Idi Amin insane. We’ll be endorsing this insane behaviour if that trip goes ahead.

Some people are confused and questioning why Trump spent over $600 million dollars just to rescue 1 airman. But this is not about the money; it's about the intent and what was at stake. If Trump had failed to evacuate the airman safely, it will bring America to international ridicule. And through that safe evacuation, Trump sent a strong signal to the US army - we're with you and no matter the circumstances; we'll come for you. These are the kind of soldiers you pray never to fight against. Because they're ready to risk it all for their country. And through that safe evacuation, Trump just reminded not just Iran but the entire world, what the US Special Forces are capable of. FAFO.

So @Keir_Starmer @YvetteCooperMP and @JohnHealey_MP have been given advance notice by a foreign leader currently using RAF bases of the intent to commit war crimes. They cannot plead ignorance. If this goes ahead and they permit UK bases to be used, they are criminally complicit.
