This week marked the end of the Parliamentary session. Here’s how we’ve delivered for Defence, and delivered for Britain 🇬🇧 All in 60 seconds (ish).

Raw, unfiltered footage captured on the ground as our troops take cover from an aerial threat in The Middle East. In the past few months, RAF Counter Uncrewed Aerial System teams, operating Rapid Sentry, have been actively shooting down drone threats using Lightweight Multirole Missiles (LMM) across the Middle East, working around the clock to protect our partners and allies in the region. To every single one of our personnel defending Britain and its allies, thank you.

Your Tory munitions strategy was unfunded and underdeveloped - which is why you never published it when you were in government. Thankfully the Tory underfunding and hollowing out of the armed forces has now ended with a Labour government that is increasing defence spending.

Visiting our troops in the Middle East was eye opening. The RAF Regiment and the team have shot down over 100 Iranian drones. I am deeply concerned about the terrorist attack that took place today. This is not an isolated incident. It is the latest in a spate of utterly vile attacks on the Jewish community. I’ve just chaired an emergency COBR meeting and tomorrow I’ll be bringing together criminal justice agencies to ensure we have effective and swift justice.

The antisemitic attack in Golders Green is utterly appalling. Attacks on our Jewish community are attacks on Britain. Thank you to Shomrim, Hatzola and the police for acting swiftly. Those responsible will be brought to justice.

Our government is delivering homes fit for our heroes. In Woolwich, British personnel and their families deployed to Cyprus will return to newly refurbished homes. Thanks to our investment, Britain’s forces families will get the homes they deserve.

Big news for Northern Ireland's defence and tech sector. Today at @bfastmet, @LukePollard & @Matthew_Patrick, joined deputy First Minister @little_pengelly to announce the £50 million Northern Ireland Defence Growth Deal, supporting SMEs, student skills and tech to keep us safe.

It’s good news that the Strait of Hormuz has now reopened. This must be a long lasting and workable solution, without tolls or restrictions on routes. Today we announced our joint plan with France and other international partners to protect freedom of navigation. We need to see a return to peace and stability, and a permanent ceasefire.
