Today I met with incarcerated women and @MinnCorrections at the Shakopee Correctional Facility. We know that 95% of offenders will return to society, which is why it’s important to hear firsthand from those impacted by the criminal justice system.

The House Corrections Subcommittee hearing scheduled at MCF-Stillwater for Wednesday morning has been POSTPONED due to unsafe weather conditions. The hearing is tentatively rescheduled for next Wednesday, February 6th. More updates to come.

Commissioner Schnell joined the “Joe’s Jumpers” DOC Polar Plunge team on Saturday at White Bear Lake. DOC teams combined raised over $10,000 for Special Olympics Minnesota.
