Ha, 1974. My father was trying to park in the only empty spot at the beach in Ben Lomond California. In 1973 it was like an episode from Andy Griffith- quiet, simple, nice. When we went back in 1974 it was like druggies and criminals had taken over. Some loser druggie was standing in the space holding it. My dad, not a fan of losers, got out and had words with him. Dad got the spot.

Absolutely not. I tip on service. If it's ok, they get 15%. If it's awesome, the sky is the limit. If it kinda sucks, they get less than 15%. If it REALLY sucks, I give a penny, just so the server knows I'm giving the finger for truly bad service. Only done that last one a single time.

I call them "Covid nazis" - the people who felt it necessary to constantly watch everyone around them and harass them if they saw anything they didn't feel complied with the panic, such as wearing the wrong mask, or the mask being a quarter inch too low. No joke. And monitoring the aisles in stores and making a huge deal when anyone went the wrong way...even in an empty aisle! Nutjobs.

Hello @realDonaldTrump and @JDVance - I believe it's time to change our relationship with NATO and stop footing the bill for countries who won't pay their own way. Rather than exit, I propose we reduce our contribution to $1 per year, which reflects the amount of risk we face in Europe.

Nearly a year ago, my wife went to the hospital for stomach pain. They did a CT Scan of her abdomen and thankfully didn't find anything serious. We got a bill in the mail of $9,117.42 I spent months talking to insurance, the hospital, billing appeals... I was told the claim was still processing. I was told the claim was out of the normal service area. I was told it wasn't clear it was medically necessary. I was told the insurance wasn't valid on the date of service. Finally, we got it handled, but it took well over 6 months from the day we got the first bill to the day we finished the process and paid. We did everything right. We have insurance. We pay our insanely high premiums every single month. It's just so frustrating. This whole healthcare system is broken, from top to bottom.
