@terrycavanagh I’m new to Dicey, having just got the iOS release. This video demonstrates a problem I have: I feel like I don’t have time to see what the enemy has or is using on me because their turn happens so quickly. Do you have any advice?
@a2_4am Same. I’ve got the white one right here, and it has gone very yellow. I’d love to restore it but I don’t know how to best preserve the stickers.
Plain weave; twill. I think I’m happy with this, will plan to do some more serious printing work this week to play with these configurational possibilities.
Revisiting this carve. I wasn’t satisfied with the gaps in the original version, so I trimmed the tiles down to give a clearer sense of direction and added fine some threading lines to sell it even more. Time for some test prints.
@textfiles I have Apple II floppies containing assembly language source code to video games I wrote when I was 13. It would be hugely meaningful to me to recover that stuff.
Are you a person with a lot of Apple floppy disks, both professional ones from boxes and collections of files that you got back then? Are you a school or institution with a pile of disks? I'd love to speak to you about imaging them.
GOOD MORNING!
Today's a special day. This week I was sent the Applesauce, a device for imaging Apple II floppies VERY well, including all those annoying tricks and traps with the disk geometry that only Apples do. I'll be at a collector's house along with a colleague, imaging.
@atlasobscura Let's get pedantic! There's no fraction of 304 responses that would produce a 53.1% / 46.9% split. The displayed stat must indicate that 94 of 177 responders chose the second cheapest wine.
In April, we asked whether readers order the second-cheapest wine to save money dining out but avoid seeming stingy. The results are in: Over half of the 304 readers we heard from have ordered wine by choosing the second cheapest. It’s definitely a thing. trib.al/RW9WG32
