@RhysRhaven Sorry, I meant 'regression' in terms of 'returning to prior', not as 'inferior'. It's a tradeoff: more freedom, less convenience.

So Mastodon seems to be a regression 'everyone runs a private blog and subscribes to each others' RSS feeds'. And the Mastodon client is Google Reader. 😆

@migueldeicaza I have mixed feelings. It seems amazing for 'brushing up' on a language you're rusty on -- I used it like crazy for that. I found it terrible for learning a new language from scratch.

Friends, I am loving Duo Lingo and they have put just enough gamification and social network features to keep me going. Want more apps like this.

@migueldeicaza There's a tiny cataract in my other eye too, but too small for me to notice. It's likely it'll get worse over the years and I'll do that eye too. :-)

@sussman Wow this is fascinating. Is the “warm” filter normal, or you suspect you might do later another surgery?

Had cataract surgery, was a 20 min outpatient procedure (!) My left eye sees colors totally differently now, like someone cleaned my car windshield. Dramatic white balance difference compared to old eye!
