CONGRATS to Platoon Chief John Hopkinson on his RETIREMENT! 🎉 PC Hopkinson is retiring with over 35 years in the Fire Service. John started his career as a volunteer firefighter for the Aurora Fire Department in March of 1991. He then became a full-time firefighter in 1996 for Aurora. In 2002, John joined CYFS and was then promoted to Captain in 2003. He worked his way up to the position of Platoon Chief in 2020. After 35 years of service, supporting two Fire Departments, his last day on shift with CYFS will be Sunday March 29, 2026.
