The flood that happened about 4,000 years caused the last ice age. We find marine fossils on top of the highest mountains in the world. Eruptions like Mt. St. Helens shows us that canyons can form very quickly with a massive cataclysmic event, which is likely how the Grand Canyon was formed. We find neat perfect layers like you would if you shook up different types and sediment in water and let it sit for a couple minutes.
