With @ChicagoBears announcing their potential move to Indiana, it's a strange thing to watch working class conservatives cheer this, and blame a political party for not allowing a billionaire team owner to pay even less in taxes.
Crazy time to be alive.

Two reasons. 1st- the McCaskeys are one of the poorest ownership groups in the NFL. Their net worth is almost entirely tied up in the value of the franchise. They’re equity rich & cash poor. They don’t have billions in a bank account like Jerry Jones Kraft who built empires outside of their teams. The Bears are the only thing they own. So they’d have to take on massive debt or sell a stake in the team to self-fund. 2nd, even if they could, they wouldn’t, because no NFL owner does. The leverage is always build it for us or we leave, which is bullshit but there’s always another city willing to write the check. In this case Indiana. It’s a scam baked into the NFL business model and every owner runs it the same way

@DanteTheDon My question is why can’t the makaskie family pay for everything… why do the taxpayers have to throw down with them… are the makaskies gonna send us check after they make revenue

@supermonangai @ChicagoBears Unfortunately, one can’t travel there as the crow flies.
You have to use Chicago roads.
