@heraldscotland Its quite simply not true. Economically, as a whole immigration has been a net cost to the public purse. There may arguably be some cultural benefits,there are also huge inargugable costs to society, from low level crime up to grooming gangs and terrorism.

Just for clarity, the SNP doesn't have an open door immigration policy, in fact it doesn't have an immigration policy at all. Do you know why? Because immigration is reserved to Westminster. The Scottish Government is forbidden from having an immigration policy.

Why pick housing? Why not social care or hospitality or the NHS? Three sectors that are crying out for more foreign workers.
