Today the independent Reserve Bank Monetary Policy Board increased the cash rate by 25 basis points. We already had an inflation challenge in our economy but the war in the Middle East is making this challenge worse. At a time of immense global instability, this will put even more pressure on families and businesses. Many Australians were already doing it tough and are now feeling the impact of conflict in the Middle East through higher petrol prices as well. That’s why we’re rolling out responsible cost of living relief and taking action to give consumers a fair go at the bowser, through higher penalties, more surveillance and more supply.

TODAY on I AM THE WHITE RABBIT Australians are being told that inflation will rise again & fuel shortages will follow, despite Australia being a major oil driller and exporter of oil. But like every other industry in Australia the "refining" of oil seems beyond us. So we export 80% of the oil we drill. Meaning Australians will experience higher inflation & fuel shortages despite drilling 80% of what they practically need. Leadership & private business, in the Public/ Private Partnership have consistently dropped the ball for this country. We are being harvested of Coal for China, Natural Gas for Japan, Oil & Rare Earth Minerals for the World. It is a Heist. The raping of this Nation for corporate profits, most of which the incompetent Australian Government doesn't even Tax! Australia is 100% drilling baby drilling, but will receive none of it.

Chris Bowen just admitted that we don't have any real amount of strategic fuel reserve here in Australia. Our reserves remain under the control of the USA. We no longer have the capacity to refine commercial quantities of our own fuel onshore. Because Australia is the worst place to do anything hard. Because the laws, regulations and red tape are at stupid levels. Every Australian will pay the price of decades of an incompetent and corrupt government.

@TruthFairy131 Great country, but unfortunately run by a pack of useless fools. The Greens anti-human influence and ideological rationalism led the way. Energy policy completely ruined but such an essential part for our Country's future prosperity.

🔥 BREAKING 🔥 Australia has less than one month’s worth of jet fuel, petrol and diesel in storage, and is the ONLY country failing to meet its international treaty obligations to have enough oil in case of a global emergency. The lack of fuel supplies has sparked warnings that Australia may quickly find it is unable to stock supermarket and pharmacy shelves or operate freight between states in the event of a severe global supply chain disruption. Australia had oil stores equivalent to just 49 days’ worth of net imports as at July 2025, according to figures from the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water (DCCEEW). Due to our Government’s Failures & Incompetence, own nation would completely shut down & millions would die during a global crisis if we couldn’t access oil.

This week it’s been revealed Labor intend on changing Capital Gains Tax and Negative Gearing. Not to make housing cheaper, but to GENERATE MORE TAX REVENUE. Anthony Albanese is a pathological liar. Here’s his pre-election promise not to make any changes

@QBCCIntegrity yeah, I don't get the we need higher taxes crowd. The government are obviously hopeless at managing money - i'd rather burn that money, then give it to them - at least it would be deflationary lol.

ICYMI: Treasury confirms the reduction in the Capital Gains Tax discount is to RAISE ADDITIONAL REVENUE. NOT REDUCE HOUSE PRICES. Any fool screaming out in support of the increase to CGT to “punish the rich”, needs to take a long hard look at themselves when RENT GOES UP.
Financial Review@FinancialReview

A reduction in the capital gains tax deduction from 50 per cent to 33 per cent is being worked up by Treasury. But will it raise enough revenue? ebx.sh/FAF8fL

@JayeHanson13 @realRick_AUS How long have Corporations been around and haven't they always been profit driven, so why only now? They finally got greedy in 2021? 🤔 Do they print money and dilute the money supply? Companies tend to deal in percentages, so as base costs go up, so do overall profits.

@realRick_AUS Nice story Corporate profits have been a major driver of high inflation in Australia since 2021, with research indicating they accounted for over half of inflation above the Reserve Bank of Australia’s target

Socialism causes inflation, That’s what is happening now. The government is printing and spending money they don’t have. Jim Chalmers solution to inflation is more handouts, more government spending, which will cause even higher inflation. We truly are fucked.

New numbers show inflation was steady in January but still higher than we’d like for longer than we’d like. That’s why we are rolling out cost of living relief to help people make ends meet, and why addressing these inflationary pressures will be a key focus of the Budget in May #auspol #ausecon
