I have always said, don’t shoot the messenger, it’s not my fault that they lifted 800 million people out of poverty and built the world’s most advanced infrastructure in just 40 years. It’s not my fault they have a $1 trillion trade surplus are years ahead of the West on nuclear energy technology, have a 70 % share of the global EV market, process 93% of the worlds rare earth minerals, and have one of the most educated population in the world. For the purpose of clarity I thought I’d let Jason Huang (CEO of NVIDIA) tell the story of Chinese innovation, in the hope that we can dispense with this nonsense that America is the only country on earth that matters. IT’S NOT, and it’s this ‘we are the greatest’ mentality that is leading to its decline. A decline not helped by having a convicted criminal in the White House.
